“Did you now? So it wasn’t the traitor’s kid who broke the law? Who was it then? And trust me. I’ve been to a lot of Institutes. I know people. Don’t lie.”
Thomas raised a brow and smirked. “Your mom.”

“Did you now? So it wasn’t the traitor’s kid who broke the law? Who was it then? And trust me. I’ve been to a lot of Institutes. I know people. Don’t lie.”
Thomas raised a brow and smirked. “Your mom.”
thxrinbelefleur:
“I don’t want or need to know about your kinky shit.” Thorin said darkly. “You’re a mundane with no pull. No nothing. Convince me otherwise and maybe I’ll keep your dirty little secret.”
Thomas narrowed his eyes at that, shooting a deadly glare at Thorin. “I don’t need you to keep any fucking secret! There is no secret! I knew things before I even moved to New York! I saw it with my own eyes!”
NAME; Thomas Whitmane AGE; 22 SPECIES; Mundane FACE CLAIM; Nat Wolff
✗ Thomas is incredibly smart, but not very good at controlling his emotions. Although he is great with computers and all things electronic, he often has trouble using logic in everyday situations that demand a lot from him emotionally.
✗ Tommy got hooked into drugs when he first moved to New York, and that addiction led him to Yin Fen. He used the drug for less than a week before being forced into withdrawal by Beau, but still battles against his body’s urges.
✗ Cries more than he should.
Woah, is that [NAT WOLFF]! Oh wait, it’s [THOMAS WHITMANE]. He is a [22] year old [MUNDANE] and is [INGENIOUS] and [DETERMINED] as well as [SELFISH] and [SARCASTIC]. He has a [NEUTRAL] relationship with Shadowhunters and is a [LONER].
thxrinbelefleur:
“He’s not your friend yet he told you the biggest secret he swore to keep? I’d try reevaluating your…relationship.” Thorin glared at the mundane over his shoulder. “I’d like to see you try to take me down with you. You have no idea who I am and no idea what kind of pull I have with the Clave.”
“He hit me in the head!” Tommy argued. “He’s not my friend,” he repeated, refusing to give his and Beau’s relationship a kind name such as friendship. “Yeah? Well, you have no idea who I am! But we’ve been through this already,” he glared.
raynaxwcyfelle:
Rayna watched as the other seemed to pale, about to speak but her words didn’t even get a chance to form before the other was running to the wall and puking his guts up. Her nose scrunched up as the smell hit her hard, “Well that was unexpected and gross.” She commented, clearly he wasn’t the one she was looking for. “Come on kid, let’s get you out of this alley and to the diner across the street for some water.”
Tommy flinched away from her, eyes wide. “Why aren’t you freaking out?” He asked suspiciously, refusing to just accept this stranger’s help. Reaching for his phone again, he unlocked. “I’m calling the cops.”
Nobody’s Hero || Tommy & Beau
beau-rxvenscxr:
Beau didn’t know how to feel about learning that he’d chosen the wrong image to project but when he needed to calm down it was straight to the beach. The waves, the smell, the sounds. It almost never failed to calm him down. He shrugged it off though. So it hadn’t been the best idea, like he’d have known that. It wasn’t like him and Tommy were all that close. Outside of bits and pieces most of their relationship had been spent yelling at one another. And even if he didn’t like it there was no denying that it had calmed him down enough to start breathing again.
Beau took a long moment to gather his thoughts. Tommy had asked him what he was thinking but this time it wasn’t out of anger. Maybe Beau was reading too deep into it but this time it sounded like he was serious about it. He shrugged and looked down the hall without really looking down it at all. “I don’t know.” He answered honestly, simply. “One minute you were passed out on the doorstep of the Institute and next thing I knew I was dragging your sorry ass back and locking it up. It felt right.” He shrugged again. “I’m explaining it poorly but I didn’t do it because I wanted to. To be completely honest I’d have just left you to die but…Something told me not to. I dunno.” Maybe, saving this stupid mundane was what Seraphina knew he needed to do. “It felt right and I did it. I can’t offer you a better explanation than that.” He finally brought his eyes back to Tommy on the floor. “Besides. If a mundane with the Sight was going to go down I’d rather think it would be more fun to go out fighting a demon than taking some disgusting drug vampires make to get rich quick, right?”
Perhaps it was his adrenaline finally leaving his body, or the nerves slowly calming down. But Tommy actually snorted at that. It wasn’t a full laugh or snicker. It was most like a huff, some air being pushed out of his lungs but with the slight hint of a smile. However, as quick and suddenly as it had appeared, it was already gone, replaced by his confused look again. Regardless, he nodded lightly, bringing his legs to his chest and sighing. “It hurts,” he whispered, looking down at his knees. “Going cold turkey. It hurts, you know?” Thomas shivered, wincing at the painful memories. “It.. f-feels like fire and ice at the same time...” he gulped, “l-like... like you can’t move but can’t stop shaking... it makes you want to be dead.” Tommy hadn’t realized that his hands were tightly curled into fists, nails digging into his palms. “It was dark and bright at the same time... too quiet and too loud, lonely, terrifying...” He mumbled under his breath.
This was the first time he talked about is withdrawal like that. The first time he opened up about his actual experience and what it felt like being stuck in that hell. The first time he spoke about it because he had to get it off his chest, and not because he was angry, yelling at someone to try and forget the pain. “It still hurts,” Tommy added very quietly.
thxrinbelefleur:
“The only rule that’s been broke is the rule where your ‘friend’ told you about the shadow world. And I think it’s only fair you know who you’ll be seeing in your last moments. Can’t break a rule if it’s already broken.”
“He’s not my friend,” he frowned. “And you did break a rule! If I’m going down, so are you,” Tommy added as he stumbled, letting Thorin lead the way.
raynaxwcyfelle:
Rayna let out a small sigh of relief when she saw the other lower his phone, because she couldn’t just poof into thin air with some glamour like she used to. If the cops showed up, she would be arrested and she would then have to try her best to keep her cool and not wolf out in a cell. “My name is Rayna and I’m here trying to track down whatever did this.”
Thomas just frowned at her, still looking unsure about this whole situation. He made the mistake of letting his eyes land on the dead bodies again and felt his stomach do a flip. Without thinking twice, he ran to the opposite wall of the alleyway and emptied his stomach with a pained cry. “Fuck...” Tommy mumbled, tasting the bile in his mouth, leaning against the wall for support.
thxrinbelefleur:
Damn mundane. Thorin scowled at him, eyes narrowed. “Let go of the pole.” He doubted he’d listen. “I don’t know what a Fight Club is but I will talk about the Clave all I want. When I am not in the presence of a mundane who has no right to know about them.”
Thomas smirked and raised a brow, still holding onto the pole. “You see, Shadowhunter... I’m pretty sure you just broke a rule. You just told me what a Clave is, gave me some details about it... and I’m pretty sure you can get in trouble as well,” he said before finally letting go of the pole.
thxrinbelefleur:
Thorin tugged at the mundane, refusing to let him pull to a full stop even if he had to drag him. “The Clave is out governing board. The people who sanction mission. Make the rules. The laws. They are the people who punish and reward us. I hope you have a spine of steel. They are not to be trifled with.”
He was unable to fight against Thorin and ended up stumbling forward. Before Thomas could take another step, he grabbed onto the nearest light pole and frowned at him. “So... is it kind of like a Fight Club thing? Rule number one about the Clave... don’t talk about the Clave.”
thxrinbelefleur:
“You’ll find out soon enough when the Clave decides what to do with a mundane who knows too much and a shadowhunter who broke the rules to tell him.”
Tommy came to a halt, refusing to take another step. “What’s a Clave?” He frowned.
thxrinbelefleur:
“No. You don’t.” Thorin said honestly, although he’d stopped himself more because he wasn’t entirely sure what the Clave would do with him when he got there. “If you’re playing me I will not be friendly any longer, mundane.”
That made him a little nervous. Tommy narrowed his eyes and started walking slower, wondering if this was a good idea after all. “Now I definitely do want to know.”
thxrinbelefleur:
Thorin let it go, half convinced this kid was off his rocker. “You do realize you’re liable to…Forget it.” He grabbed his arm, tight but not too roughly. “This way.”
Tommy tilted his head curiously as they started moving. “Do I wanna hear the end of that sentence?” He asked.
raynaxwcyfelle:
When she noticed the other stumble back she held up her hands in defence, slowly rising from her crouching position because the last thing she needed right now was some mundane cops showing up and her ass being thrown in jail, she was sure the Praetor would love that. “Calm down, alright. This wasn’t me, I got hear around ten seconds before you did-.. if this was me, I’d be covered in blood and I’m clean. See.”
Tommy looked from her to his phone and then to the body. He took a few moments to think about what she was saying and decide wether he wanted to believe her or not. After a while, he slowly put his phone down, but kept it in his hand. “Who are you?”
thxrinbelefleur:
That was not the reaction he expected from the human and it took him a long second to figure out how to react to it. “What’s your game here kid?”
“Game? No game. I’m just not in the mood to fight, you know?” Thomas said with another shrug. “Come on, let’s go before it gets dark.”
raynaxwcyfelle:
Rayna sighed spotting the two bodies in the alley, crouching down, picking up a hand and letting it fall to the ground. “Shit.” She cursed, realising that the two mundanes were gone. Hearing footsteps approaching she raised her head, meeting the newcomers gaze, “I swear this isn’t what it looks like.”
Tommy was walking home when he spotted her. To be honest, he wasn’t interested in knowing what she was doing in that alley; he had learned his alley lesson after being attacked by a demon and being saved by Beau. But she seemed to get nervous when she saw him, and that caught his attention. Tilting his head a little to the side, he frowned, walking towards her, trying to ignore the unsettling feeling in his stomach. It wasn’t until he was close enough that he noticed the two bodies. His eyes went wide and he stumbled back, almost tripping on his own feet as he patted all of his pockets in search of his phone. “What the fuck...”
thxrinbelefleur:
“Everyone would believe me. And I’m pretty sure if I drug you by the scruff of your neck to tell the head of the Institute what you told me…They’d have no choice.”
“We have rules for a reason. Now come along.”
Raising a brow, Thomas remained silent for a moment. He blinked a few times, a plan already forming in his mind, before nodding and shrugging. “Okay,” he said, taking a step forward.
