Whistling up a Wind
Recently I’ve had a few people asking me for more information on how to whistle up a wind. So here you go!
Whistling up a wind is the most common forms of weather magic and has been practiced for hundreds of years. Depending on the pitch and tone of the whistle (which I’ll talk about below) a witch can create a gentle breeze or a sharp gust of wind. Traditionally, if the skill of whistling up a wind does not come naturally to you the option of making a ‘wind whistle’ out of willow or alder wood is available. You could also use a simple glass bottle - all you need is to be able to make a whistling sound.
To whistle up a wind, you would first take a deep breath (close your eyes if you need to), centre yourself and focus the energy you breathed in. Let it mingle with your own energy/magic whatever you want to call it and then literally breathe out the energy into a whistle.
The tone/pitch/length of the whistle you make decides the type of wind you will get. For example a low pitched whistle which sounds like ‘breath over a glass bottle’ will form a light breeze and a short sharp piercing whistle will form a huge gust of wind.
I included the video (sorry about the poor video quality) so you could hear the pitch of the whistle I create to blow in some rain.
Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get it immediately. It really is just a matter of practice and finding the right note/pitch and length of the whistle to make for each type of wind. Don’t be afraid to experiment!
If it helps, try and whistle a song which makes you feel happy and light then try whistling a song which makes you feel heavy and sad.

I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE!
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE YOU WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL POST?!
*I’m so happy I go overboard and in a state of wanting to marry the post* *Realizes* nevermind.
I’m still shook, even now at 5am on a Thursday, over what I witnessed a few days ago in the Barnes & Noble Starbucks. Absolutely shook.
Two grown-ass men, obviously friends but dressed like they were in two different high school cliques, were arguing, passionately about who Gerard Way was. The one wearing a Green Lantern shirt and thick-rimmed hipster glasses said that Gerard Way is the lead singer of My Chemical Romance. The other guy was wearing what I wore during my emo phase in middle school, mostly black with a skinny red tie and a grey vest, was arguing that Gerard Way was a comic book writer.
Then a third person comes up, obviously another friend as she put down a tray of drinks for the three of them, looking like she could’ve been a Kappa Nu with Elle Woods, and asks “What dumb thing are you two arguing about now?”
The two men reply. Elle Woods’ sorority sister says “They’re the same damn person, you idiots. He does both things.”
Absolutely shook. I feel like I witnessed the utopia suggested by the end of High School Musical where everyone from all the different cliques are friends and Wildcats or some shit…

Water in magic.
What kind of water should be used for the magick you are doing?
Sea water - great for cleansing and healing rituals. Good for crystal cleansing (make sure your crystal won’t get damaged). Also great for banishing and protection spells.
Swamp water - Can be used for banishing and warding, really good for cursing and hexing (any foul magic).
Storm water - Spells and rituals for emotional strength, confidence, charge, motivation and force. Its known for strengthening spells. Great for curses as well.
River water - spells and rituals to do with moving on, focusing energy, breaking through rough paths and warding. Great for powering tools.
Rain water - Multi-purpose but great for growth and rebirth spells. Great for spells if you want to keep gaining power over time.
Snow water - great for magic focused on purity, endings and change; as well as slow working spells.
Dew water - For love and fertility spells, as well as delicate magic. Great for fae work.
I love remembering that making a wish by blowing dandelion seeds is a tiny little spell. Dandelion has spirit-calling, wish-granting properties and you whisper your wish to its babies to go off into the world and plant themselves and thrive in your name.
This is honestly super cute

Fluorite
Energy: projective
Powers: Mental powers
Magical uses: Flourite is one of the New Age stones. It is becoming increasingly easier to obtain in stones.
Fluorite is found in various colors and in masses of interlocking, interpenetrating cubes. Single crystals that resemble two pyramids fused together at their bases are available to sale as well.
This stone has no long history of magical use; its influences are only now being discovered.
In general, however, fluorite seems to work with the conscious mind. It is useful for straightening your thoughts, for reducing emotional involvement in a situation in order to gain a more accurate perspective.
It strengthens its user’s analytical abilities and is useful for theorizing and assimilating information
Because its affects the conscious (intellectual) mind, fluorite quells strong emotions and smooths thought over the angry sea of desperation, depression, or anger.
Some workers use fluorite to strengthen the effects of other stones.
