I'm so tired. Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of seeing and smelling elderly Jews in Boulder being firebombed. I wrote about the experience on my blog that day. I'm so isolated as an autistic adult I didn't have anywhere else to talk. I was also scared. Scared some virulent antisemite would use the information to hurt me. It wasn't an unfounded fear.
Someone started messaging followers anonymous messages that I'm a Zionist. I wasn't paid for a number of commissioned artworks. Meaning I couldn't pay rent, which means I'm technically homeless. When I asked another artist to boost, they said they didn't appreciate being involved in a personal dispute. I don't have a dispute. I'm just Jewish.
I'm not saying any of this for sympathy, it's more that I loathe how acts of antisemitism have all of these apologists. No it's not Jew hate they just hate zionists. It's not antisemitism, you're just a bad person...I'm exhausted by having to prove to an impossible standard that antisemitism exists and devastates people.

Looking warm and cozy on a snowy winter night in upstate NY.

I did not, however, expect black. But, it's really works with the wood and brick.
It's a very cozy room.
I'm sure that this room was renovated, b/c it's no longer a sitting room and has this wall-size shelving unit.
This sitting room retained some architectural details and they were given some contrast, painted bright white against bright royal blue.
I'm thinking that a wall, w/a secret door in it, was put up to accommodate the mural and close off the dining room, which they don't use.
They left the double doors that opened from the black room.
They painted it pink, made a little fireplace-like thing, and built a platform for it.
This would be the original kitchen.
They redid the original cupboard.
And, this is the new kitchen. Not really a fan.
They left the original staff stairs.
There's a single water closet beside the main stairs.
The stairs got some cute wallpaper.

They're all painted the same shade of gray with white trim.
Renovated bath has a tile shower.
And, this was probably the nursery in Victorian times.
There's a deck on the back of the house.

The exterior changed, too. The ornate porch columns were replaced and the fence was removed. The shutters are also gone.
