GREAT-HEART: It is my duty, said he, to distrust mine own ability, that I may have reliance in Him that is stronger than all.

... 18 hurt/comfort dialogue prompts
"Just focus on me and try to relax."
"I know you're hurting right now. Please let me help you."
"Should I keep talking? Would that help you?"
"It seems like the end of the world right now, I know."
"I can't take the pain away, but I'll always be here for your support."
"We can just lay down for a moment. The world's not ending when we're taking the rest we need."
"Don't look. I will bandage it for you."
"It's amazing you're still standing. Let me help you."
"Sit down, you are looking very pale."
"I care about you! Do you hear me?"
"Don't lie to me. I can see that you are not ok."
"You're safe with me. You can finally let go."
"Can I touch you? Please, I want to help you."
"We need to keep moving, unfortunately. Hold onto me."
"I'm afraid you will hurt yourself even more."
"Please believe me, I will not leave you alone."
"Do you want to tell me about it?"
"You need to sleep, this is not healthy."
24 Days of Gift-Giving
Jesus wept.
But He also pleaded that He would not go through the death on the cross; that He may not be left alone on the cross, that He not be dying apart from God.
Yet He was joyfully, knowing that by His death I will come to Him.
As He died He saw all our faces. He saw the moment the Holy Spirit would flood us. He saw every moment we would call out to Him, and He knew, by His death he would reach gently and hold our right hand.
He saw every time a saint or martyr would ascend from a glorifying death and be with Him.
He saw our smiles when we were made alive.
He saw every deed and call that would be done by His great plan.
He saw the white stead returning.
He saw the trumpets blowing. He heard them.
He saw us arising to be with Him on that Day.
He saw Satan thrown into the Lake of Fire.
He saw this all as He hung and died. He knew He was the victory. He knew He was the Price.
And He knew all of this from forever past and eternity future. He has known this forever.
He knew this as He prayed and as He wept, but He also knew the Father's will. And He knew is was perfect.
He knew He would rise again. But for the human and spiritual anguish of God forsaking Him, He wept; that we may never, in truth, cry out that He has forsaken us. Never will He. Never.

give me an exhausted caretaker who keeps pushing past their boundaries. give me a caretaker who always says yes, who takes on everything they can because they have to save everyone. give me a caretaker who drives themself to the point of exhaustion time and time again.
after all, who's going to save whumpee if they don't?
Fantasy book starter/sentence starter
There he stood, in the first light of dawn. And he was swept away to the world of his own imagination, away from my eyes and to another land battered with war. To a place I wish I could go. The wood returned to emptiness, and there I stood alone once again.
