When you're watching the silly sci fi show and then the master crouches in the dirt with the doctor and says it hurts and then the doctor tells him he's just insane and then the master presses their foreheads together in a desperate gesture to make the doctor understand and then the doctor sees a fraction of what has been driving the master crazy and looks horrified but the master is just so so relieved that his pain is legitimate and he laughs hysterically and just keeps saying "it's real! It's real!"

i think the doctor should make offhand mentions of the master's previous appearances more often. like imagine bill asking about missy and twelve goes "remember harold saxon? crazy pm, killed all of parliament and eviscerated the us president? yeah that was her" and he just doesn't elaborate on how that's possible while Live Bill Reaction happens
