― Margaret Atwood, You are Happy
“It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.”
— Chuck Palahniuk
be careful who you give your sunsets and midnights to
I may be an absolute disaster of an adult but when someone younger than me asks for advice I turn into a Wise Professor
Youngster: how do you cope with exams/anxiety/time management
Me, who just had a panic attack while eating a bagel at 2 pm:
“. “Ask for what you want and be prepared to get it.””

i be in my head more than I be on earth.
Do you know what I love? How closely nature is linked with mentality. A walk in the woods can calm anxiety, sitting and dropping stones into a lake can ease anger, even taking time to pot some plants and look after them can keep my mind occupied from dissociation. It’s like the earth is the oldest psychiatrist of all, and it is always there to talk to, giving me a constant free prescription. Isn’t that beautiful

“And somedays I miss everyone - who has ever left, all at once”
— Donte Collins (via perfectquote)
“Toni Morrison writes, All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was. Back to the body of earth, of flesh, back to the mouth, the throat, back to the womb, back to the heart, to its blood, back to our grief, back back back.”
Natalie Diaz, from Postcolonial Love Poem; “The First Water Is the Body”
“You are such a beautiful soul. You deserve all of the love that exists in the universe.”
— Nicole Addison @thepowerwithin
“In our day and age, global society has been saturated with the wrong teaching of false positivity. The denial of darkness never equates the abundance of light. And the denial of your actual character never equates to the reality of your best character. People today are afraid to work on themselves and on their actual realities, they believe that outward appearances are enough. Outward appearances have become everything in our current day and age. People don’t see what they are actually like, nor who they actually are, in reality. They live in a phantasmic version of reality. It has to stop. In the phantasmic version of reality, there is no chance to experience true love, true goodness, and true metamorphosis. The caterpillar does not become a butterfly by telling everybody it has wings. It actually buries itself in darkness and grows those wings.”
— C. JoyBell C. - Writer
“It takes time to work on not being alone. You have to call a friend. You have to take a shower and eat breakfast with your mom. You have to put in the effort to feel loved and be loved by the people around you. Passiveness leads to loneliness. Be active and spread your sadness to the people you trust your feelings with. Be understood. And be okay.”
— Juansen Dizon, It Takes Time
