“I wouldn’t break tradition on you,” he assured him with a laugh, grinning a bit as he moved to walk with him. He knew that Killian was mostly just fucking with him, and he didn’t really mind. He had known Killian long enough to know he was a big grump all the time, and he actually kind of liked that. He thought he was sort of funny when he was trying to be all mean and grouchy to everyone.
“Oh yeah? Cool.” he agreed, nodding slightly. He was equally excited about new places and old places by now. He knew he was probably gonna have a good time no matter what. He was always a bit intimidated when they approached a new club, especially a new gay club, but… Killian always seemed to know what he was doing.
Like tonight, when he really, really knew what he was doing and walked them right in through the front door, and Romeo was stupidly impressed, unable to stop himself from grinning as he wandered in, looking around, and drank all in.
“Of course I’m drinking tonight.” he laughed. “And I assume you are, too.” What fun would it be otherwise?
Killian was lucky in the sense that Romeo wasn’t one to take offense to his less than kind nature. He was admittedly a little bit rough around the edges, but usually with people that knew him, they knew it was just his way, and that he wasn’t the asshole he so tried to be. Or maybe he was and people were just used to it. Either way, it was a good thing Romeo understood it, or he’d have to apologize. The kid wasn’t as cynical as Killian, and a helluva lot more innocent, and Killian didn’t want to scar him by being too grouchy.
“You better be drinking tonight’ Killian smirked, leading him off to the bar where he ordered himself a whisky. Not that he was going to pressure Romeo into drinking, but he did know the younger male was a little more loose when he drank, a little more willing to dance and have fun and be who he really was, which Killian favored. “Drinks are on me, of course, get whatever you want.”
