“Well, no. I didn’t touch it, of course. I just saw it all curled up in the corner. I guess you’re right. There doesn’t seem to be many people here who can help.”

“What difference does that make? Alone or not, inexperienced care would make his life considerably worse. If you want the best for the animal, call animal control.”
“Well...you do sound pretty convincing.”

“Not really,” Tristan told her with a little frown. “but I’d call Animal control to see if they can take care of it-or try to find the number of Crocodile Dundee, he’ll take care of it.”
“Crocodile...who?”

“Uh, yeah.” Patrick’s brow furrowed, a frown quickly tugging down at the corners of his lips as he tried to figure out why the other was so disbelieving of his suggestion. “The internet is how most people learn new skills these days. I mean, you could call animal control, but I’m pretty sure they’ll come to collect the raccoon and then who knows what they’ll do with it.”
Louise’s eyes widened at the male’s last comment and she quickly began shaking her head. “Oh, no no no. I wouldn’t want them to harm the poor, little guy.” She frowned a bit, wringing her hands together as she looked up at the male. “Do you...do you really think the Internet can help me?”

“I feel like this is when you call animal control to handle this. He may be a cute animal, but he’s still a wild animal.”
“Even if he weren’t so cute though, he should still be taken care of properly.”

“I don’t know how to take care of one, but I do think you should call animal control to see if they can take care of it.”
“Yeah...y-yeah., that seems to be everyone’s idea.”

“I would…probably call animal control,” Winnie said, looking over at the other woman with wide eyes. “Don’t a lot of raccoons carry rabies?”
Louise opened her mouth to respond, then paused. “I guess you’re right.” She finally responded, glancing down. “I just-- I hoped I could take care of him myself.”

“I think they usually just…patch ‘em up and release them somewhere else, don’t they? I hope so,” Anton replied, pursing his lips. “I just hear that rabies treatment is particularly unpleasant. And you have to do it right away.”
“I don’t really know.” She mused to herself quietly. She looked up as the male continued speaking, her eyes widening. “That does sound....kind of scary.”

“ Uh, I’m not really positive on how to care for a Raccoon,” She answered. “ I think if you’re concerned about it, then maybe we can google something up? I’m sure there’s someone in the world who’s experienced the same situation?”
“I-- umh. I don’t know. I don’t really like...solvin’ my problems through a website.”

“I’m… not entirely sure how you could’ve thought that taking in a wild animal was a good idea.” Patrick frowned, forehead wrinkling as his brows knitted together. “– No matter the circumstance, really, but uh…” He shook his head quickly. “I’d say take him to the vet, but I don’t think they help out with feral animals. Google?”
Louise swallowed hard, lowering her eyes to the ground as though she were being scolded. At the male’s suggestion, her eyes slowly raised, filled with apprehension. “Are-- are you really sure a...a website can tell me how to care for an animal?”

Shea nods thumbing through the books. She can’t help but make a face at the description of the book. “Not sure about that one, hits a little too close to home. Any new thrillers out?”
Louise swallowed, nodding a bit. Yeah. It hit kind of close to home for her, too. She cleared her throat, focusing her thoughts on answering the girl’s question. “Oh, there’s the new Stephen King book? I think we still have a few copies.”

“You should call animal control, you’re not qualified to help care for a raccoon. They’re wild animals,” he insists.
“B-but...he looked...just so alone.”

“You might want to call animal control or something?” Anton answered softly, voice laced with what sounded like genuine concern. “They can have rabies, you know.”
“Oh uh--” Louise bit her bottom lip, her eyes darting around, “I just-- don’t want them to hurt him.”

“Have you ever been to Toronto? They’ve got this weird Racoon fetish or something. They’ve got racoons breaking into convenience stores, racoon memorial sites downtown, and a bunch of other weird Canadian shit. But yeah, you should probably give it to some kid on the street and they can make it their pet.”
“N-no...I’ve never been to Toronto. It certainly sounds...interesting, though. I umh-- I don’t know any little kids, and I don’t want to give it to someone I don’t know.”

“I know that raccoons can be dangerous and often carry disease. I wouldn’t mess with it and just call animal control. They’ll come pick him up and take care of him.”
“But...they wouldn’t hurt him, would they? He looked so sad and alone.”

“I don’t know the first thing about raccoon care.” noah responded, with a slight shoulder shrug.
Louise frowned a bit before looking back up at the boy again with hopeful eyes. “Do you...maybe know someone who would?”
“I umh-- I found a raccoon in the dumpster in front of my apartment and he-- he kinda looked hurt and I’m not sure how-- does anyone know how to take care of a raccoon? I’m really worried about him.”
