Because my mind would not let go of the whole ‘reaper trio but in a western fantasy’ idea, I kept thinking about what horses they would ride:
Barry’s horse is a young, fresh-faced Appaloosa. She’s very gentle, but sometimes she can get over excited. She whinnies and trots in place when she sees something new. She asks for so little yet deserves so much. Her name is Buckwheat and Barry affectionately calls her “Bucky.” Tres horny boys call her “Buckwheanie Bluejeanie.”
Lup’s mount is an equine fire elemental, and they ride like literal wildfire. Lup summons them a la Phantom Steed. Their name is Caarl “The Good Kush” Ashenhoof. When being conspicuous, Caarl can make themself look like an ordinary Cleveland Bay. Caarl’s favorite snack is unlit cigars.
Kravtiz’s ride is an undead skeleton horse. When not in reaper form, he looks like a Black Friesian. He was a calvary horse who got caught in the heat of an ugly battle and carefully dragged his former rider safely to medical care, only to then succumb to his own mortal wounds. For this, he was give the position of “Reaper’s Steed.” His name is Alabaster the Steadfast and he’s The Best Horse who ever Died.
