this song and the way everything came together means so much to me. the cover is actually a photo of my grandparents who met on a Monday, got married on Friday and were together for 29 years until my grandpa passed away when my mom was 19. never old enough
if i had been 30, though i was 15, i still wouldnt old enough for you to carry to the back of the car, to have your way with me while i could hear the noise but not open my eyes.
if i had been 25, though i was almost 16, i still woudlnt be old enough for you to persuade in the car while you were 18, after getting me ridiculously high.
if i had been 40 although i was 19, i still wouldnt be old enough even after 2 years of dating for you to try, and try and try and try until i was to tired, eventually to give in with tears in my eyes, night after night.
if i had been 36 though i was 24 i would still not have been old enough to be woken up by the feeling of you, scared still, and too embarrassed to pretend i didnt want it.

there is a lot of weight, thats all.
is there always this much weight? or is it just the one i carry? my heart feels heavy, if i could continue with out it i would much prefer it. everything hurts.
she says its ingrained this ‘”not good enough” message, i believe it too deeply. how does she know its not the only truth theres ever been?
In swan princess they said “ what else is there?” i want to believe theres more too. is there more than living this way.
it makes me mad when others get to be sad or down or whatever, i feel like i dont have that choice, i have to keep going. if i don’t what would happen?
