"Habagyo" (habagat+bagyo) #081713

Today 08-21-13, It's been 3 days since universities and colleges, ,around metro manila, suspended classes due to the Bagyong Maring (and the habagat). The terrifying rain started Saturday night (if I am not mistaken) and made most of the cities in Metro Manila stuck in a deep flood situation. But no, not only the places around NCR experienced the chaotic tragedy, so are the Provinces surrounding the said cities. 

Every time I sit in front of the TV, news are always disturbing. head-scratching! Maring is ruining everything. From roads to houses/buildings and even the lives of other people. Sigh* these current incidents in my motherland (Maring storm and the accident between 2 ships in talisay, Cebu) are.. just.. so.. unbelievable. Heart-breaking :( PRAY AND HAVE FAITH. Because as what everybody said, there is always a rainbow after the rain.

A decade and eight ❤

I remember I posted something last year about celebrating my debut like the usual... Click --> http://thoughtsfromthewalkingbird.tumblr.com/post/31975514784/debut-party 

So here's the thing, days after posting the said entry, mom and dad told me (during our convo in skype) to fix things regarding my debut and I was like "things? What'd ya mean?" Of course, I would not deny "debut party" was the first thought I had but in the back of my mind, months before my birthday we both agreed that they would just give me money instead of having a party, so what's there to fix? And to cut the story short, they've decided to throw a party for my 18th birthday. Mama insisted the plan because she wasn't able to celebrate her 18th birthday; She missed the chance of blowing candles on the top of the cake, wishes from the 18 girls holding candles, 18 dance, and etc.. She wanted me to experience how it feels to wear different gowns for my the-coming-of-age party and being danced by 18 important men in my life and so much more! (awww so sweet :"> lol!)

So here's the super late pictures! (My actual birthday was Dec. 3 but mom and dad are suppose to arrive in the phil. on 15th so I had to move the celebration 2 weeks after the real date.)

                                                   The Gowns

These gowns were my personal choice. They handed me different sketches and sample of various tiny and colorful clothes. But the gold one (far right) it was bought way from dubai. My mom picked it b'coz she fell in love with the gown the first time she saw it and she wanted me to wear it sooooooooo, do I still have a choice? hahaha

And there you go.. It was an amazing and blastful one! Exhausted but worth it. Ended the night with a happy sigh :) BUUUUT WAIIIT! I'll be posting another version (w/c is the candid/funny) pix. I just have to put an end to this post 'coz I'm afraid  I'm already making a  building-ish tall post. lol

A super duper happy mother's day to the woman who never left me during my ups and downs. Who's always by my side giving her full support and loving me unconditionally. Who keeps on understanding my different moods and advising me when I'm in trouble. I love you so much mama and I bet nobody can love me and our family more than you do! I can't think of any person who would perfectly fit as a mother to me and kuya. I know this is too early to greet you a happy mother's day but I just wanna make sure I'll be the first person to tell you how great mother you are and how grateful I am to have you. I love you both! You deserve a fancy treat from papa ♡
