Okay guys, confession time.

I’ve really wanted to be able to watch this season and blog about it, but it’s been really hard for me. I’m going through the process of recovering from a very painful breakup, and while I know the relationships on this show are basically fake and never last, watching anything about people falling in love and pursuing relationships has been a struggle for me. I think I’m finally getting a bit better though, so I’m working on catching up. I’m really sorry for not having my shit together. Thanks for sticking with me and being patient!

This episode is hard because we just learned that my dad's cancer is Stage 4 last week and I'm happy for Raven and her family but I also kind of envy their relief and her being able to have her dad at her wedding and I've been choked up for an hour and it hurts so bad. Sorry.

How can they announce Rachel as the next Bachelorette if she hasn't officially been kicked off the show? Doesn't that seem to spoil some things? Or was it leaked early?

It wasn’t originally supposed to happen like this. It got leaked so ABC went ahead and made the official announcement before a lot of major news outlets picked it up to try to do some damage control.

I’m excited for her! She’s been one of my favorites from the start and I’ve said all along she deserves so much better than Nick. I wish her the very best!
