Coral Highlands Radobaan Variant

A creature design commission for Caffeine Fiend. My task was to design and illustrate a variant of the monster Radobaan that would live in the area known as the Coral Highlands rather than the Rotten Vale.

"Today I'm working on a miniature Bazelguese - these guys are noisy but surprisingly calm companions, at a size that's much easier to feed!

Their blast scales have been bred down to the point where they are small and can no longer self-ignite. Excellent for safety in a community setting, but as a consequence the monster also can't properly shed these scales. They eventually adhere to each other in a mass, which can get a bit uncomfortable and heavy. So, they need regular shearing to clear the buildup.

The resulting scale mats make great hot-burning fuel when properly treated. The village smith just might become your new best friend!"
