The Boy at the Trivium Show
It's been over a year since I had been that close to you; let alone seen that smile again.
Everything in that moment was alright - not like the way it was before, but in a dysmorphic evolution of our lives.
We're happy.
Standing in the crowd, yet on opposite sides of this metaphorical fence, the passion in our souls never died.
Our true selves still collided with one another in a sweaty concoction of beer and the smell of marijuana.
I am so glad you've found peace without me.
All I needed was that acknowledgement.
That added thumbs up - the one you always did when you asked if I was okay - told me all I needed to know.
We would be okay.
Everything would be okay.
I will be okay.
