Preparing for #Christmas #tshirts at work! #Cthulhu for the win
Today #Christmas #Cthulhu went for a walk in the #sunshine at #Manchester's #christmasmarket (at Manchester Christmas Market)
I’ve finally seem to have found my crochet groove back. After finishing a hat I started last March, just in time too, it freezing in this part of the world, I decided I couldn’t stop crocheting. In my travels on pinterest I stumbled upon these tiny little scarves and I decided to give it a try (even though I’m terrible at making scarves), I was so pleased about how the first one came out I soon made another one. I’m sure the other houses will soon follow, and just ready for winter!
All together now! @theworldinstitches
8th of February sees the Japanese festival of broken needles Hari-Kuyo
A memorial to needles broken in the past year, thanks is given for their service throughout the past year, and to pray for improved needle work skills in the future!
HAPPY HARI-KUYO!
no offense but every skein of yarn should be center pull
And not require yarn gynecology to find the end.
Reblogging entirely for “yarn gynecology”
I’ve always thought about it as disembowling the skein.
This is a really bad photo of something I've been working on for a while: #8bit #charms now made into #necklaces
Meet my new distraction: Mya. This adorable #fluffball doesn't like me to crochet, she wants to play and cuddle. I'm so in love, and Azathoth is so jealous!
I think it’s great I reopened my Etsy shop, it means I finally want to make things again and that crazy hours at work don’t bother me too much.
However, I didn’t take into consideration how slowly I would be working. At first it was fine, there was only me and my cat Azathoth, and our routines worked fine.
Don’t be fooled, he hates cuddles unless they happen as soon as I wake up, and for no more than five minutes. He’s a loner and his only interest is food, and feeding time, and what is going to be in his bowl today, and will he be able to beg for more as soon as I move? However, we have a pretty good relationship, he doesn’t care what I do and as long as he doesn’t counter surf I leave him pretty much alone; aside from trying to cuddle him.
It’s great with my crochet, he is not bothered by the yarn moving, and will lie on his couch snoozing.
However, we got a little addition to the family., a kitten called Mya.
She is a little cutie, just about 10 weeks old, very active, very cute, always looking to play and cuddle, the total opposite of Azathoth. He hates her. Which I believe it’s natural and normal, we are working on it. At least she has stopped hissing at him.
Well, she is locked in the living room with me, while I work, because I don’t trust her big brother, and since his stare has been very meaningful I want him to have his space until he gets used to her.
This is how he has been looking at me since yesterday: utter disappointment and confusion.
This new family member has been taking so much time away from my crafting, trying to pacify the two furry creatures and try to keep Mya entertained has been more work than I thought. As soon as I sit down to do some crochet she goes totally crazy, she starts jumping around and on the computer and the coffee table (oh the hate). But she is such a cute little thing! She is tiny, she is so easily distracted it’s terribly adorable.
you should totally add some Steven Universe stuff to your etsy!
I think I should, although at the moment finding time to make new patterns seems a huge struggle.
I promise I’ll try and do my best to add something from Steven Universe though
Great news! The shop is finally open again, ready for the mad Christmas dash. New items are added regularly. Go check it out: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ThreadingOnRainbows
And don't forget to follow this link where you can get £5 off your first purchase: http://etsy.me/1MAVrly
I want to make myself a Cthulhu Christmas Sweater, but I can’t knit. I suppose I could always cut out a felt Cthulhu and stitch it on...
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you need to check your design's proportions and stuff before you decide to start it!
A few weeks ago, I can't believe I forgot to post this, my step-grandma taught me to basics of #embroidery. Needless to say, I pretty much suck, but I enjoyed it! (at Esine)
This little picture is officially finished, and is to be a present for my little sister, to remind her to enjoy the moment! (at Muggia (ts))
Featuring #EarlOfLemongrab in my very own interpretation of #TheScream (at Threading On Rainbows)
Today I was a guest in my sister's school, and I had the chance to see some amazing art work by the kids. This is me with a sloth sewn and stitched by one of the students (she's 11, that's some real talent)! (at Scuola Secondaria Nazario Sauro)
