#crafter problems

So uh, I make things for people as a hobby and sometimes I get a little hyper fixated and it gets a little out of control. Some irl friends were asking me to put together a little shop, so I have and I thought I might share it here, as well.

I do soapmaking and recently have gotten into resincraft - right now I've got some odds and ends, candle holders and soap dishes, but I really like how some of my journals have turned out. 👇

I really like the fishy one

I used to do farmer's markets but it's not ideal to take the resin out in the desert heat, so I've kinda stepped back from that hustle for the next few months.

Me: Ugh, working with black yarn is such a pain in the ass. Why do I keep doing this to myself? Never again! 😤

Also I knitted a teeny tiny bit. But I'm just not feeling it! I want to make color work socks!! But I have to dye the yarn first 😤

I’m very annoyed with myself because in the process of looking for my crochet stitch markers (eventually found) and my safety eyes (not found) I managed to completely lose my nice ergonomic hook. I think it’s time to just go to bed and not do crafts.

I love how my classmates think that just because we’ve known each other in classes means they’re entitled to ask for me to make them blankets “because of all we’ve been through” and only pay for the yarn. Like fuck you no. You’ll pay for the yarn but not the 100+ hours it’s gonna take me too I make your blanket or the price of the pattern I’ll have to buy? Nah man fuck you.

Paying for yarn and not time is reserved for special friends only. Like friends I’ve had for over a decade or I’d consider family.

The worst part of crafts is having to wait for pieces to dry or cure or arrive in the mail :/
