Just watched Backrooms earlier today FINALLY :D I liked it, and I was excited the entire flim lol
When I'm reading a book I lowkey kinda hate, but then they introduce a character that is MAYBE (probably not) lesbian so I gotta lock in🙏🙏🙏 She's probably my favorite character so far and she's only shown up once so far💔
I watched Milk and Serial twice (once with my dad then once with my mom), and I gotta say. I liked at alot. Idk if I liked it more than Obsession, but in my head its pretty close lol, I really liked this movie
watched Obsession like over month ago lol. I watched it twice in theaters and once at home. I felt uncomfortable in a good way throughout the entire movie on my first watch, I really loved it. This and Curry Barkers "Milk and Serial" got me excited to see Curry Barkers's future films
Just watched Backrooms earlier today FINALLY :D I liked it, and I was excited the entire flim lol
The past week or so, me and my mom has been watching the entirety of the Creep franchise (we watched Creep and Creep 2 in one night, then we watched The Creep Tapes across like 3/4 nights), and I liked it. It creeped (ha) me out so many times, but in a good way. I don't usually really take notice of actor's acting abilities (I'm more focused on the story and the sort, so i don't really take note of this stuff unless its clearly bad), but I really liked Mark Duplass's acting. Maybe part of the reason I like it is because of how different it was from his role in Backrooms lol. Out of the movies, i think I prefered the first one (though I love both of them), and in The Creep Tapes, my favorite was season 2 episodes 3/Mark. Not only does it remind me of Saw (a movie franchise I enjoy), but I found Josef's(as in the character, not Mark Duplass) bad acting funny. Out of season 1, my favorites were maybe episode 5/Brandt and episode 2/Elliot (I found the "just admit you're obsessed with me" scene funny)
Bro, so me and my mom finshed watching The Creep Tapes earlier today, and then pretty much right after that we watched Backrooms. When we saw Mark Duplass we had to rewind to double check we were right about it being actually him 😭 lol

Thats all i can think of rn
God i wish i had money (i spent it all on Vox tin💔)
God, i love Kōtarō Isaka's Assassin/Hitman series so much, but god is it hindering my ability to read new books 😭. I love reading and all, but lately the only books i really want to read is this series man 💔💔💔 I just finshed rereading the series for the 2nd time, and i lowk wanna reread it again, but I want to get the paper back of Three Assassins first because i only have the hardcover and i wanna tab it(I've tabed all the other books and im only doing it with the paper back copies). Because of that, i wanna hold back on rereading it. Plus i should read new books 😭
Currently im trying to read Crime and Punishment, since it was mettioned in Three Assassins, then after that i want to find and read all the books Tangrine referenced, then i also wanna read his other english translated books (Seesaw Monster and Remote Control) as well, especially before that Seesaw Monster movie comes out. Though i do have to reread the series at the end of the school year, so i could do my final english project on it 🙏
Also not that anyone cares, but the reason I'm finally making this post, is because i overslept and missed the bus 💔
Fuuuccck, sorry for this, but Hazbin Hotel ramble about a Sinner Adam au.
Sorry for any misspellings. Also this au is a very rough draft.
I'm trying to read, but i came across a line i love, and i have to yap over it🙏
"'Alcohol sure is scary. The man im traveling with can't stop drinking either. He causes all kinds of trouble,' the kid says cheerily." (Bullet Train, Kōtarō Isaka, Page 76)
This isn't my first time reading this book, its infact my 4th(?) read. This read, I saw this line and just laughed it off since i found it funny the Prince was dissing Kimura when he had no real reason to, but then i immediately realized im actually stupid, and the Prince was setting up a scapegoat incase anything goes wrong. He already sets up the idea that Kimura is unstable, so if something like whay happen eith Lemon happened, it'd be easier to convince the person(this case Nanao) that Kimura is the bad one.
It overall didn't matter much, since Nanao never became a danger to the Prince. Though it makes sense the Prince would do thag, since Nanao was literally holding a dead body
No tags since i don't want people to see this💔
Ik nobody cares, but after reading Bullet Train by Kōtarō Isaka, and the other books in the series (Three Assassins, The Mantis, and Hotel Lucky Seven), it's made me HATE the movie adaptation. (Spoilers i thinks)
Look, I'm not saying it's a bad movie, hell, before I read the book(s), it was one of my top favorites. I actually didn't know the movie was based on a book until like the 3rd/4th watch, and a bit later, I got my hands on the book and started reading it. I immediately fell in love with it. I don't commonly read physical books at home, it's a bad habit, but with this book, I read most of it at home. I LOVED this book. After finding out that it had more books in the series, I bought Three Assassins. Between when I bought three assassins, and when I first read Bullet Train, I had read it another 2 times, resulting in me reading it 3 times before the other books, the 2nd time I noted every time a character was described(I'm an artist), and the 3rd just anything I liked. Around the time I started Three Assassins, I found out that Hotel Lukcy Seven was a thing, so I was rambling about it to anyone who would listen. My dad ended up buying me both the mantis and Hotel Lucky Seven in both hardcover and paperback (for Hotel Lucky Seven he preordered(?) the paperback) since my birthday was close. I read like, half(?) of Three Assassins at school, but I finished it and also started/ended the Mantis at home. I also started Hotel Lukcy Seven that day too if I remember, but I finished it the day after. After that, i reread Three Assassins, and now im rereading Bullet Train. I guess that doesn't matter much in context of what im talking about, but whatever. I like this book series ALOT.
As one does with a piece of media they like, i started collecting some items, including items for the movie since im desperate (so far i have the hardcover for Three Assassins, the manga adaptation for Three Assassins (Grasshopper)(i would like to note that since there isnt a english translation of the Manga, and i don't know Japanese, i am unable to actually read the manga at the moment. Im planing to find a way, trust 🙏), the paperback for Bullet Train, hardcover and paperback for the Mantis, the hardcover for Hotel Lucky Seven, the art book for Bullet Train(2022), the metal dvd case thingy that came with character cards for Bullet Train(2022) (I will talk about those character cards later), and the funko pops of Ladybug with his glasses and Momomon from the movie.) A like month ago, i decided to put the Bullet Train movie in the background as i do smth else, and i couldn't even get through the first scene. That msde me realize, i dislike this fuckass movie now.
I feel like the main reason is that i loved the book(s) so much more than the movie, i cant look at the movie without thinking of how much better the book is. Anyway, here are things that i dislike about the movie.
Okay first off, you remember when I mentioned the character cards? Well, here's the part I talk about them. Okay, so idk if it's randomized or something, but out of all the characters, the Wolf got a card while one of the MAIN CHARACTERS Kimura didn't even get one (I'm more upset about this since Kimura is one of my favorite characters from the book). SPEAKING OF THE WOLF, I don't know why the Wolf has a Funko Pop, when most of the actual main characters didn't get one. In the movie, his character was kinda cool, I admit, but he was barely there. What do you mean he got a Funko while only one of the actual main characters didn't get one?? I also feel like this when the Wolf thing makes me more irked since I disliked him in the book. This whole Funko and character cards just makes me hate him more. Another thing, I HATE how Ladybug takes off his glasses in the movie. In the book, he was nicknamed GLASSES GUY by MULTIPLE characters, WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE TAKES THEM OFF????? Next, it feels like the characters are more stupid in the movie than in the book. Like, when Lemon passed out, in the movie, the Prince shot Lemon in the chest a few times. In the book, he shoots Lemon once IN THE HEAD. Also, when Tangerine found Lemon's body, in the movie, he didn't even check to see if he was alive, but in the book, HE ACTUALLY DID A LITTLE POKING AROUND. Also, it's been a while since I watched the movie so this may be wrong, but I can't remember if in the movie they mention how Tangerine likes to read. I sort of get why for this next reason, BUT I WISH SUZUKI WASN'T REMOVED. HE'S ONE OF MY FAV CHARACTERS IN THE WHOLE SERIES. I also felt like Kimura shouldn't have been walking as fast as he did in the movie. In the book, in the epilogue which takes place a bit after the main events (I think like a month if I'm correct), it's mentioned that Kimura still isn't walking. Also, I forgot if it's mentioned in the movie, but I can't remember if they kept Kimura's relationship with alcohol.
Oh yeah, let's talk about the Prince now. They get their own section. I don't really care that they changed the Prince's gender and age(in the book he's 14, while in the movie, she seems older, like 16 at the youngest???). In fact, I don't care for the version in the movie. I just felt like I had to mention the Prince, since in the book, he was my favorite character. My favorite part of the book was seeing how he sees the world through his internal monologue and his conversations with Kimura, while in the movie, we never get to see stuff like that. I understand why, it's an action movie, a conversation or two about psychology would be out of place, but without it, I find it hard to feel as interested in the character, which is why I don't care about this version much. The whole thing with Mingohsi/the White Death being the Prince's father, I actually kinda liked, since it gave more past(?) to the Prince. In the book, we never get to hear about the Prince's parents. Though, I 100% enjoy the novel Prince's reasoning for going after Mingohsi. I find the whole reasoning of "he didn't take me seriously" to be kinda funny but also fitting for the Prince and his writing. I kinda disliked how the Prince's whole "why is it wrong to kill?" question wasn't in the movie, because it's an important part of the book and the Prince's character. I also kind of wish that made it to where Kimura and the Prince had met before in the movie, like in the book.
There are some things I liked about the movie, and I was planning to add it, but it's 1 in the morning and my hand hurts from typing. Tbh, I might just be being petty and too harsh, since my ideal adaptation for any book would be an almost word-for-word faithful animated show/movie (for Bullet Train, it would be a movie) where we can hear the characters thoughts (when its in the character's pov, you'll only hear their thoughts ofc). God i would die for an adaptation like that for the whome series. Know if something like that every comes out, or a manga/graphic novel, I've sold my soul to the devil🙏.
Anyways, this is just me yapping about this book series. I could go on about this for days. wghebdbdjdudhsbdnskndbdbdjdjv
Im going to explode. Im probably sick, and one of my cats, Bruce, had escaped the house while i was at school, and now my other cat, William, attacks Bruce any chance he gets. Google said to keep them separated, so i put William in the bathroom- since my rooms a mess- and I'll feel bsd if i left William alone in my bathroom, so I've been hanging in the bathroom with him.
My oc Chess. I have other art, but 2 of them have spoilers for a book nobody knows, and the other one is for a show im embarrassed for liking
Because i can't consume any media without thinking "How can i make this about squid game?", heres my squid game Kpop demon hunters
I dont have all of them figured put but ummm yah
So, Jun-ho will take the place of Rumi, because he's my favorite, and i said so
Woo-seok takes Zoey's place, and Mercenary Kim as Mira
(Season 1) Gi-hun takes Bobby's place
Il-nam takes Gwi-Ma's role
The Salesman will take Jinu's place (i don't think he would sacrifice himself like Jinu, but this is my au)
That one square guard who was held hostage(?) by Gi-hun and Jung-bae in season 2 rebellion as Baby
The other Saja Boys im not sure of, but maybe No-eul is Mystery??? Instead of a lion as their mascot, it would be a squid or pig(like the piggybank). I kinda like the idea of Romance and Abby as Nam-gyu and Thanos, but i wanna have the Saja Boys be the employees of the games, so, idk if Nam-gyu and Thanos would fit
Seon-nyeo(player 044) as Healer Han
In-ho, he would hold the same importantance as Rumi's mom Mi-yeong
For Celine, my main ideas is the cheif from the one scene in season 2 where he and Jun-ho are eating(yk) or the Masked Officer (he was friends with In-ho)
The bird and tiger stay the same okay 💔
I wrote this right before bed, so forgive my misspellings.
I've always had this theory that if the rebellion never happened, 'Young-il' would've "died" anyway in the next game. This also branches off the theory that Il-nam was meant to "die" in the 4th game (since that's about when the vips arrived). The reason why the 4th game is so he could host the vips if that makes sense.
SQUID GAME SEASON 3 SPOILERS!!
Myung-gi/Nam-gyu one night stand and Jun-ho becoming a father was not on my season 3 bingo sheet 😭
On a more serious note, the season was good, though im a little disappointed on how we didn't get In-ho's(and by extension Jun-ho's) backstory.
Anyways i find it hilarious that In-ho basically just gave his brother a billionaire baby with close to none context 😭😭😭
Do yall think Jun-ho named the baby after his sister in law?????
