Alfalfa Seed May Be In Short Supply In 2014

Weather issues in 2013 impacted overall alfalfa seed inventories for the 2014 season.  If possible look at your rotations this year and if alfalfa is one of the possibilities, it may be a good one to prepay or at least let your preferred provider of alfalfa seed the questions about inventory.

There are so many mixed messages about 2014.  Corn seems to be the 250 pound fourth grader playing Red Rover Red Rover, but it isn't the only thing to watch for.

There is good news in dairy export and premium hay.  I expect a widening in poor and premium hay this winter but prices will be good going into next year.
