Healing Chant
Cool the fire, still the flame.
Stop the suffering, kill the pain.
Repeat as needed.
tasks for the tired witch
I am always stuck trying to balance my professional life and my magickal one, which seems to stress me out WAY more than it should, but I’ve recently discovered that you don’t have to do anything huge for it to be magickal.
If you want to do something witchy but just don’t have the energy, here’s a few things you can try that either take little effort or that you probably would have been doing anyway:
take a bath or shower - dedicate it to washing the stress and negativity of the day away
eat food - ground and recharge yourself
if you feel like cooking - charge your ingredients before adding them to the mix
light a candle, incense, or plug in your wax warmer - let the scent help keep your space cleansed and free of negative energy while you sit there and chill
meditate - turn on some relaxing music and just close your eyes for a while
and lastly, get some sleep!
feel free to reblog and add your own suggestions c:
Weather Folk Magic
Cows lay down before a storm. (The tighter their group the worse the storm will be.)
Sheep seek higher ground before a storm.
Hornets build their nests higher if the winter is going to be harsher.
Tough skin on apples and thick corn husks mean very cold winters.
A snowy winter means a plentiful harvest the following Autumn.
Leaves on trees (maples being one) turn their undersides up before a thunder storm.
The number of harsh fogs in August will be equal to harsh storms in winter.
If you want to hear tons more and learn about where some of these folk sayings originated please support and check out the New World Witchery Podcast. It’s free and very informative.

Make fun of teen girls going through their “witch phase” all you want, but that is a young woman who has finally realized she is a powerhouse of spiritual authority who doesn’t need the world’s permission to manifest her desires. I would advise you not to fuck with her.
Bath Spell to Release Anger
You Will Need…
Rosemary [Love]
Lavender [Calming]
Rose Petals [Love]
Chamomile [Calming
Salt [Purification]
White candle(s) [Serenity]
Blue candle(s) [Calming]
Intent: To release anger, to calm down
1. Combine the herbs, salt, and sugar in a sachet. Focus on your intent as you mix them together.
2. Draw your bath. You may want to add salt crystals or Epsom salts. Add your sachet to the water and focus on the healing energies of the ingredients being released into the water.
3. Light your candles and place them near the tub if possible.
4. Step into the tub. Relax. Breathe. Imagine your body absorbing the positive energies of the sachet. Relax your mind and your body. Focus on positivity.
5. In your head or out loud, chant or sing or whisper this:
“I am clean, I am serene. Anger does not control me. I will not shout, I will not lash out. Anger does not control me.”
6. Repeat this as many times as you need, but aim to repeat it at least 3 times.
7. Wash your hair and your body. Imagine that you’re scrubbing away the negativity.
8. Rinse off and drain the tub. Imagine all of your negativity going down the drain and away from you. Now you are open to absorb only good things.
9. Dry off, get dressed, blow out the candles, but most importantly: breathe.
Rose Quartz Calming Spell
This spell was requested by anonymous, and is designed to help create a bubble of calming energy around the user.
🌸 Cleanse your rose quartz, and sit in a quiet area.
🌸 Focus your energy on the rose quartz, closing your eyes, and visualize a small flower sprouting out of the stone. This will be the center of your bubble.
🌸 As the flower grows, visualize vines growing out of the stone, and wrapping around you in a bubble shape.
🌸 Take two deep breaths and open your eyes. Thank the stone for it’s help, and carry the stone with you as you go about your day.
Notes:
The longer you take to let the vines and flower grow, the longer the bubble will last
If you ever want to end the spell earlier, visualize the vines and flower shrinking and receding back into the stone
