N.I.X. Clothing & Things
They say, things happen for a reason. I couldn’t agree more to that.
For the past year, I can just safely say that I got a little unfortunate about things I planned out not coming my way. Sure, I did get disappointed but these unfortunate events led me to something better.
I have been an online seller even before I started blogging. I stopped because I had to focus more on my top priority; finishing school.
Moving forward to graduating, working in Cambodia for a year, I decided to do what I love best and I know what I do best.. Fashion.
From there, my newest baby was born. NIX Clothing wouldn’t be what it is now without my partner, Rachel.
NIX Clothing is an indie brand for the brave and the confident. All of the styles available at the moment needs to show some skin at some way. May it be an open back, high slits, or cut outs. The Brand’s aim also is to teach women to be confident about their body, embracing their flaws and just wear whatever they fancy and what would make them feel beautiful.
NIX Clothing is produced in a humble sub-con in Taytay, Rizal where we also source top quality fabrics for every #NIXpiece.
You can find NIX Clothing at our Instagram page, Facebook, and at Zalora.com.ph.
We are planning on expanding soon, so hopefully you’ll be able to see us at bazaars, concept stores and malls as well!

Rugged as it is
Of all the pairs I own, this pair of boots is the best of the best! If i have to list down my favorites, I'm pretty sure they will take the top spot!
Rugged as it is, this pair of a goody-choo-boots can both be donned with something laid back or something very dressy.
For a Pre-school Christmas party, I opted to something comfy hence the loose shirt and high-waist denim shorts.
WHAT I WORE:
Forever21 Top
Thrifted High-Waist Denim Shorts
Thrifted Lace-Up Boots
Thrifted Woven Bag
Hi po, can you give me some advise on how to treat my pimples and dark spots? Thank you
Acne has been a pain in the ass for me for years, it started to heal now with the pills im taking. Its called Isoteen. I am not sure if they do have it in the Philippines though. :) I dont really do anything for the pimple marks, I just leave them as is ha :p xx
All the Love and Lines
Using swimwear as an outerwear can be really tricky and scary. It needs loads and loads of courage before you can step out of the door donning it. A kick-ass idea on how to make it work with casual clothing is a big plus too!
I fell in love instantly with the outcome of the whole look as it turned to look just like a cut out dress. Since I don't have that 100% courage to don this sexy get up, My denim vest saved me from all the evil eyes and catching a cold. :p
If you've read my previous post, you probably know I go through a hell of a workout whilst taking my outfit photos as I only take them myself with timer. Haha. Yes, yes, I know I am a loser.
But just a few days ago, the love of my life traveled half way across the world again to be with me. And yes, I took the chance and gave him an extra job as my photographer during his stay. Hahaha. :p
What I Wore:
Bedazzled Denim Vest from SammyDress
Bikini Used as top from PearlyPop Swimwear
Maxi Skirt from Close out
DIY chain necklace
Sandals from Lacoste
I have never hoarded 2 baskets of thrifted items in my life before. Just now! I mean can you blame me? Who would resist items from Japan?
This thriftshop in Phnom Penh called Toto is heaven for anything you can think of. From the usual clothes, bags and shoes, to chinas, toys, f urniture! It is really one heck of a one stop shop that sell loads of cheap stuff.
Clothes ranges from half a dollar to 3 dollars, shoes can go for as low as 2 dollars a pair and so as bags. They also have designer items that you can score for a really good deal.
I’ve been on a tight pocket since the beginning of the year and it is the first time from a long time that I shopped like money doesn’t matter. Oh boy I can definitely say that shopping is the best form of therapy!
Watch out the stuff I got here on my next outfit posts! :))
xx
Pa-donya moment ✌️
Cardio
You guys might be wondering why I called this post 'Cardio'. I'm pretty sure that you have the same dilemma once you wanted to take outfit shots but there's nobody to take them.
I have to deal with it every time I want to have a shutter blast. If you've been a reader of my blog for a while now, I reckon you have an Idea that my little munchkin sisters always take my outfit photos.
Since I have been flying here and there for the last 4 months now, I really have to do it myself. WHATS INDEPENDENCE?! haha. I literally have to run to and fro 20 times to set the timer and boy that was quite a workout!
Now onto my get up. I have this obsession with cutouts and peek-a-boos and all those bit and bobs that focuses on details. AHHH. Been over-wearing this crisscross cropped for months now. Definitely a favorite!
To add spunk and funk to the get up, I chose to inject color and fun prints to the get up, hence the floral skorts and sequined sneaks!
NEWS FLASH! $2 for theses babies aren't that bad huh?
WHAT I WORE:
Crisscross Cropped top from Phnom Penh Night Market
Floral Skorts from Taytay Market
Thrifted Sequined Sneakers
Military Badge Necklace from my cousin
Denim Jacket from Cotton On
Emerald Insights
I took these photos during my short break in the Philippines. These set of pictures may be the most recent I have. Haha! I am desperately needing loads of time and a wiling photographer here in Cambodia!
From bright hues, extreme combinations and over accessorizing, I noticed that my cup of tea with clothes slowly metamorphosed to more classy, timeless and calm ensembles.
I reckon age has a big impact to the change in my liking, but I must say that once in a while I still opt to my crazy and free get ups.
WHAT I WORE:
Caged midriff top, stolen from my sister
Thrifted Chanel high waisted shorts
Sunnies from Pi Puan Pram store (phnom penh)
Steve Madden Studded slip ons
Here’s another back log from my Carolina days. Donning an uber girly get up during the most ideal weather you can think of. I admit, I miss the island so much! not just the place but the people and things I got to do there that I can’t here :P
Even if this thriftchic stepped out of the...
I’ve been head over heels in love with everything that imposes subtle sexiness, may it be cut outs, sheer details, body cons, name it! So when the cropped top and high waist bottoms trend popped, I never hesitated to follow the congga.
For after quite a while, I’ve been out once again in my...
"I’m gonna pop some tags only got $25 in my pocket" that Macklemore song is definitely my USA stay’s soundtrack!
I just looooooved popping tags in Bargain Box or Goodwill, aside from scoring really nice pieces (and not to mention branded ones) it is also a good way to share blessings to charity.
Each item can go for as low as 10 cents in Bargain box. Hunt for the items that has the color of the day stuck on it and you will get it for another 50% off! Oh those are the days I miss the most. But I know for sure I'll be back soon to the good old sandy bays of Hilton Head.
...and I have been hoarding in thrift stores in other countries too!
