This is the second time this week that I have a dream where I’m living some aspect of an OC’s lore and, surprise, it’s not the good parts. Like it was, as dreams often are, nonsensical and did not abide the laws of physics, but the overall themes of the dangerous situation were there??
I think I need to stop writing/thinking of OC lore as I fall asleep…
Yet mind you I think/write OC lore a lot before I fall asleep but this is this first time (that I can recall) that this phenomenon is so persistent. Then again, this could be coincidence, and I’d need a third time for this to happen to really start suspecting some correlation.
It’s about Sparks by the way… which is maybe why this is happening bc he was originally based on me/was a self insert so my brain takes me putting him into all these scenarios and subconsciously sees it as me. I’m tired so idk how to articulate this very well rn, I just needed to get my thoughts down..

Was scrolling YouTube shorts and came upon a video about women being portrayed as stereotypes and Mercy from The Warriors (1979) shows up ands let me tell you how excited I got. THE WARRIORS 1979 MENTIONED!? Gold pull.

EDIT: Okay I watched the other video with the analysis and this person immediately said that the 1979 film was one of the worst movies they’ve ever seen… like I get it, totally understandable, BUT I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!! Sniffle. I might be biased…

Fell asleep writing OC lore and I ended up partially dreaming about said OC lore. Like, I was living nearly the exact same situation as the OC and I guess that makes sense since I borrowed some of my own lore to write that OC lore, so hey full circle I guess.
I’ve tried redrawing this one Ajax piece that was apparently my magnum opus in terms of posts on this blog, but each attempt just look so,, ergh
I can’t get it to look right and I blame Ajax bc when I drew that thing I was like, quite obsessed with him. Like I was all over him (I’m so sorry). It’s so funny thinking about it now… but he was at some point my favorite 💔

Since I love assigning the seven deadly sins to things (esp groups of people like my oc’s), which of the seven deadly sins do you guys think suits each of the Warriors best?
I don’t expect everyone to get a perfect match since we have 9 delegates and 7 sins. Some of them can be repeats, as some of the sins overlap. This doesn’t necessarily have to be which of the sins each Warrior would represent, but can also be which of the sins they seem to struggle with the most. Bonus points if we say which of the sins they exhibit the least.
I’ll go ahead and take a stab at it and say Ajax would be lust… for obvious reasons, though I could see him being wrath as well. Funnily enough with his horrendous closet case, pride could work… in the sense that he’s confident in his own ability and doesn’t readily accept help nor being inferior to anyone else, and has quite the ego. Even then, I feel lust is at the top.
Cleon could be wrath ? I forget who in the game has the highest rage stats, but whoever that is could be wrath. Least for him would be sloth. He’s always on top of his game and is the least likely to slack off.
Vermin is a close contender for lust but I think Ajax just beats him out. I wanna say gluttony fits him just because apparently he’s supposed to be on the chubby side based on how the game frames him. While generally thought to be food and drink related, gluttony can also be an overconsumption of other things, teetering on greed, hence the overlap. Considered greed because he was supposed to be the bearer (bear lmao thinking of that one description of him iykyk). Meaning he carries the money? Sure. BUT I feel like he’s the most likely out of the main gang to slack off, so sloth? I’m very uncertain for him. He’s checking off quite a few.
Fox I can see being envy simply because of how I view him wanting what others have. He didn’t get a proper ending like the rest of the Warriors who made it out alive, and he didn’t get the girl that was originally meant to be his. He would be envious of the life he never got to have. That’s how I see it anyway, feel free to share your thoughts on the matter.
The following I’m pulling out of specific events rather than overall character, due to sheer desperation and not because the choices fit very well.
Rembrandt pride bc gay pride /silly and uhh he must’ve been real proud of himself for winning the Writer’s Showdown and thinking he’s the best tagger in all of NY (he absolutely has the right to think this). Lust is least bc the Bible states this as ‘excessive sexual attraction towards a woman’ and our boy Rem is once again gay- *gets shot*
Ngl they’re all pretty proud of who they are, judging by how against they were at taking off their colors. Not in any inherently sinful way. I’m not the Bible genius, these are just for fun!
Anyway these are my immediate choices, so I’m still on the fence about the rest of the Warriors. Some of them we just don’t know enough about to make a confident assessment, and there’s very little to go off of. Any input would be appreciated.
Experimented a bit with a new way of detailing the tiles. Kinda like it? This particular piece took a hell of a lot of work. I’d love if you shared the vibes it’s giving off, for research purposes 💖
