Hello! I figured since I'll be posting on here more often then I might as well introduce myself somewhat 🤗
Online I go by a few things, so either Left or Wolfe will do
I'll mostly use this blog to deliver updates on fanfics I'm writing or talk about some of my interests!
Speaking of interests, I have quite a few...
Westerns
I am a huge fan of anything western/cowboy related (considering I own nearly 50!) I enjoy books, tv shows, and films all about the wild west so naturally I'm inclined to talk about it.
A few of my favorites include Laramie (tv show), the Lonesome Dove series (books), Thunder Trail (movie), most of Clint Eastwood's older movies, Magnificent Seven 1998 (tv show), really any of the Shane variations, and a variety of others!
See here my collection:
The Warriors
I'm sure it's obvious by the state of my account currently that I'm a pretty big fan of this movie. I'll definitely share my thoughts on this one often (especially since I'm currently writing my fic about it) and once again, if you like it and want to talk, I'm here!
Music
Like most people, I'm a pretty big fan of music. I'm not sure if I'll talk about this often but I do want to share some of my favorite artists and bands here!
Tool, A Perfect Circle, Failure, Faith No More, Soul Coughing, Vast, Prick, Hurt, and Tripping Daisy are some of the ones I have on repeat.
Miscellaneous
There's a few other things I enjoy a lot, but really not enough to warrant an entire section for. I'm an artist (profile pic and banner are my drawings!), as well as a writer. I'm an avid collector of DVDs and some of my other favorite things include Due South, Red Dwarf, Emergency! and more
Anyways, I'm pretty sure this is a decent enough introduction of myself! If you think I'm pretty cool or you want to talk about something I mentioned here feel free! I'm always up to having a nice convo about mutual interests 🥰
I feel so pretentious because I just left a review on a documentary I watched and I was going to make a jokey one like I usually do but after reading some of the reviews I got so peeved because people were fundamentally misunderstanding the documentary and some of its content
so then I left like a four paragraph review highkey hating, but like
“Got it, Mister Wekapipo. Do ya think I can have a little talk with Zeppeli while we’re at it? Ya know, man to man. Privately.” Just five minutes, Magenta thought, five minutes where he could give Zeppeli a taste of his own medicine and he’d be over the moon.
someone give me motivation to actually write chapter 13 💔 ill do it ill do it i promise
thats the last paragraph i wrote before i stopped altogether last month
i watched breaking away again and im trying not to let this become a warriors situation again because the last time i really enjoyed a movie (the warriors) i watched it eight times in seven days and did nothing but talk about it to other people
i give up so easily because of minor inconveniences not even joking
i havent written a chapter in over a month because im wary about writing johnny and gyro
i havent uploaded a video to my youtube channel in two and a half months because i muted my microphone unknowingly halfway through recording and i havent brought myself to continue
one time i didnt wear a pair of shoes for months on end because one of the shoes was untied
“Great. That's just fan-fucking-tastic, Aunt Isa.” Joaquim grumbled as he kicked the side of the broken rental car the group had just vacated. “We're in the middle of nowhere and now have no way to get anywhere without having to walk!”
Isa cracked her neck and turned to look at her nephew with a raised eyebrow. “Cool it.” Her tone was edging on warning and the twitch of her eye became apparent. “Get your bags out of the trunk.”
“What, so we can carry them across Europe? Some fucking rescue mission this is.” Joaquim sneered, crossing his arms.
Tiago spoke up suddenly and supplied “We're in Portugal” quite unhelpfully. He stood beside the road with a thumb out, taking a step back every time a car rushed past him and headed towards civilization, ignoring the group completely.
Joaquim and Isa shot him twin looks of disdain before they continued their stare off with one another. Behind Isa, Odette stood, looking into the distance, a hand held over her eyes as she shielded them from the sun.
A few kilometers away, she could see dust and dirt being kicked up on the road as a car gradually approached their location. Suddenly, it veered off the road into the grassy expanse before the four of them and charged, full throttle, at them.
Joaquim, in the midst of grumbling and pulling an array of suitcases out of the rental car trunk, instantly leaped back and started cursing as he watched the car grow increasingly closer. “Holy shit!” He ran to the side, near where Tiago was still focused on the road, and looked back to his aunts. Isa was walking to join the two with decidedly less panic, but Odette remained where she had been. “Meu Deus, Auntie O get out of the way!”
But Odette didn't appear to hear him. He looked to Isa to see if she was worried about her wife getting plowed over by an insane driver, but she looked disinterested at her nephew's panic.
Seeing that he needed to be the sane person here, he sprinted towards Odette and grabbed onto her arm, trying to drag her to safety as the car came extremely close.
Just as he began to move her, the car suddenly hit the breaks and skid to a stop only half a meter away from Joaquim and Odette.
Breathing heavily, Joaquim stared in awe at the car before him. “What... the... fuck... Auntie O.”
Odette looked to him and smiled kindly, “Our ride is here.” She walked over to the window and Joaquim could only dumbly follow. Behind him, Isa began to lift up bags and walk to the back of this mysterious car and set them by the trunk. Tiago finally turned from the road and cocked his head to the side, making the sign of the cross before walking over to the car.
The car was a '95 Cadillac Fleetwood, black, with tinted windows. The driver's side window rolled down and revealed... well, from where Joaquim was standing he couldn't actually see inside.
“Thanks for making the trip out here, I hope you didn't have to come too far,” Odette said softly, nodding her head in apology. Joaquim shifted over a few steps to see inside the vehicle and finally saw the driver.
Inside the car, from what he could make out, was a freckled, ginger woman with sunglasses that concealed her eyes. Her lips were faintly quirked as she listened to whatever else Odette was talking with her about, and she'd reached one arm out of her car to rest on the door.
“I wasn't far at all, taking care of some business in Spain when you rang.” She had a smooth voice, though her Portuguese was clunky—somewhat formal and incorrect grammatically. Leaking through the words was a hint of an Irish accent.
The trunk slammed shut and Isa walked back around to the front of the car, taking her place next to Odette. “Nice to see you again face to face Niamh, thanks for picking up our sorry asses up. We picked up a junker of a rental in uh... where're you from?” She directed the question to Tiago who was staring at his reflection in the window of the car. At the sound of his name, the teen perked up.
He didn't answer the question for a moment, but eventually replied with “Setúbal.” Isa nodded and Tiago returned to face the window.
“Yeah, Setúbal. We've been driving... three hours now? Three-ish when the thing broke down.”
Niamh grinned, “Good thing I'm here then.” She tilted her sunglasses down, pale blue eyes locking onto Joaquim. “Going to introduce me?” Odette stood up straight.
“Oh! Of course. Joaquim, this is our good friend Niamh Cullen. Niamh, this is Joella's nephew Joaquim Jordão. I wish you two could've met on better circumstances but...” Her enthusiasm dipped as she reminded everyone of the reason why they were in Portugal in the middle of nowhere.
Niamh gestured towards Joaquim in lieu of a greeting with her visible hand; Joaquim confusedly gestured back. “It's alright, I'm sure you'll find her,” she said before her attention focused on the second teenager reflected in her car's rearview mirror. “Who's that, some stray you picked up?”
The couple followed Niamh's gaze, first to the reflection before they turned to look at Tiago themselves. “That's Tiago,” Odette started, “he and Joaquim had a fight before making up and um...”
Isa finished for her. “Invited himself along. The kid's got a pretty useful Stand though, so it's not all bad, all things considered.”
Niamh nodded thoughtfully before pushing her sunglasses back up on the bridge of her nose. “Well then, if everyone's ready we can get going.” As Niamh rolled up her window, a clicking sound alerted the rest of the group that the car doors unlocked.
Isa opened the driver's side passenger door and held it open for Tiago, who quickly slid into the seat, and Joaquim, who skeptically and more hesitantly took a spot in the middle. Isa herself followed after, taking the last seat in the back as Odette took the passenger seat in the front.
“Fuck! I'm in the middle...” Joaquim groaned, laying his head against the console in front of him. Isa laughed a patted his back as Odette put a comforting hand in his short hair.
“Let's get rolling then!” Niamh called out as she suddenly hit the gas pedal and swerved back onto the road, heading back the way it had come from only fifteen minutes prior.
