NOTE: I do not support Hoyoverse as a company. This blog is purely for my love of the character Beidou. Information of what scummy things Hoyoverse as a company has done and how to help will be under the cut with sources.

They have collaborated with McDonald's, a chain who once gave free food to IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in the midst of the Palestinian-Israel war and genocide. I have since seen sources claiming McDonald's have stopped this practice and bought back their restaurants in Israel.

Hoyoverse have also taken inspiration from South Asian, Middle Eastern, and Indigenous cultures, yet have refused to include a variety of darker (playable) skinned characters; thereby participating in whitewashing and colorism.

In the past, there was dialogue towards Kaeya in the claim that he looked 'exotic', though the text has since been removed.

Though not due to Hoyoverse (but Formosa), there have been issues with the payment of Genshin's voice actors I would like to bring up the strike. And lack of payment.
