i went back and watched the entire svartalfheim part of the movie. there are shots from every which angle; there is no hint of a tornado anywhere the eye can see until loki "dies." there is a breeze present from the moment it begins, there's some wind, but that's it. and then suddenly a giant, black tornado? right when loki is "dead?" that's thor's tornado.
