Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā dimitri sniffled, whimpering quietly as he tried to hold back his tears. why was he crying? just because raven said no? it felt like rather than simply being told no, it was the weight of that and his dream, his fears, his sadness, and anxiety all bubbling up in the manifestation of tears.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā iā iām s-sorry⦠i-i just, ā he quickly wiped his face with his arm, before pounding himself on the head once more, ā i-itās okay, i-i understandā ā but dimitri cut himself off to try to focus on breathing once again.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā once he had calmed down enough to speak again, he quietly asked if raven was still there, only to be met with silence. dimitri assumed he probably fell asleep, and though he could have hung up, he didnāt. he wished he had never asked raven to come over. maybe then he wouldnāt have felt so empty with rejection, listening to silence on the other end of the phone.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā dimitri stayed like that, the phone pressed against his ear, listening to ravenās quiet snores. he allowed a weak smile to lift his lips at the sound. but then, he heard scrambling, and ravenās voice againā more frantic this time.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā with furrowed eyebrows and puffy eyes, dimitri quietly answered, ā ā¦k-kuroā¦? y-you donāt have to, iā⦠i d-donāt wanna be a burden, o-or anything⦠ā
āNah..,ā Kuro answered, scrambling from Ravenās bed to quickly slide on his slippers. He didnāt care if he wasnāt dressed appropriately. He needed to make sure that Dimitri was truly alright.Ā āIāll be over there in like ten minutes alright?ā He did his best to try and lighten the mood, trying to make a joke of the situation.Ā āAnd ya better not fall asleep or Iāll knock some sense into ya for leavinā me out at the front door.ā
With that last message, Kuro hung up the phone and shoved it in the pocket of his pajama pants. Rushing down the stairs, Kuro found himself almost stumbling and hurting himself to get to his motorcycle. His family was obviously asleep, but that wasnāt on his mind right now. He didnāt care how much noise he made.
After a few more minutes of tripping over random objects in the dark, Kuro had been able to start Ravenās motorcycle and was on the highway towards Dimitriās apartment. They didnāt live too far away, and with the exception of his vehicle and the fact that there was barely any traffic on the road Kuro had made it there in just about ten or fifteen minutes.Ā
Parking the bike, he hopped off and tossed his keys into the pocket that held his phone and hurried to knock on the door of the home.Ā āDimi?? Dimitri you there?ā He asked while beating on the door. He was honestly worried about the boy, having heard how distraught he was. He hated seeing Dimitri cry. It made him feel powerless, and he wanted to do all that he could to make the boy feel better.Ā āItās me! I made it!ā
