Art tips for ME

- PAUSE to have lunch, to make love, to enjoy nature, and to contemplate your drawing practice. see what works and what doesn't. don't just keep doing the same thing and expect new results. learn from others. watch tutorials. chew on that anatomy book.

- STOP drawing in case of wrist/elbow pain. do exercises. adjust your work station and posture. you only have one set of arms and you have to maintain them.

- CARRY ON. just keep showing up for practice. it almost guarantees skill improvement. I keep most of my drawings, and while yesterday's ones look sadly the same as today's ones, there is clearly a lot of difference if I look at my skills from a year ago. it's reassuring!

- Currently watching Moominvalley. Moominpappa's voice actor is Matt Berry, who also plays Laszlo in What We Do in the Shadows. This is hilarious

I've been watching new episodes of Time Team and eating lots of ice cream. It distracts me from how much I still need to learn about art. Quite pleased with this one, anyway! She says hiss hiss
