one of, if not THE, strangest psychics known to science is a young woman going by the name 'eris'. she's capable of something that nothing else ever recorded, psychic or ghost, is capable of doing: manipulating the corporeality of matter, rather than ectoplasm. to put it plainly, she can walk through walls and turn invisible.

her age and background are largely unknown, including her actual name. she's probably in her late teens to early 20s, but seems to have experienced considerable neglect as a child; prior to her current living arrangement she was homeless.

she currently resides in a as-of-yet-unnamed research institute. she's there of her own free will--after all, it's not like they can keep her from leaving--and has made.... friends(?) with a number of other psychics there. Everyone loves her soooo much and they all love finding random piles of hair places they LOVE it

psychics as a whole could be described as humans (and other animals, but there's a lot less research on that front) with souls that act more like ghosts--being able to move independently, change their corporeality, and/or process sensory information. eris, then, is a person with not only a more ghost-like soul, but a more ghost-like body.

her abilities aren't without their drawbacks and limitations, however. while she can pull dead cells (like keratin) out of phase with a lot of concentration, usually hair doesn't go along for the ride, and if she phases too quickly without thinking about it, she can even lose a layer of skin. the amount of time she can spend out of phase is limited too; firstly by how long she can go without air and secondly by how long she can spend completely insulated without her body heat cooking her. (she also can't see if she makes her eyeballs invisible.) perhaps most notably, she can't pull any matter out of phase that isn't specifically her own body; this is because her ability hinges specifically on the fact that she isn't quiiiite made of normal matter.

the sona... ive gotten very attached to the grown-out-bleach look my hair has right now and carnelian is a multicolored gem so it works out nicely!

a couple of new serpentverse dragons i've made recently. hognose i'll make another post on at some point because they have relatively extensive lore (they are a cousin of the largest flying dragon currently living, and have been using that as a basis to... start a cult...). Second guy is tentatively named siggy (short for cygnet) and i don't have much idea of their situation but i think they may be involved with cadnir (dragon wizard i don't think i've posted about at all).

Lately ive taken to, after doing some kind of activity, drawing gems doing the same thing. For instance the second image is rutile going thru my day (library cataloguing + little treat + public transit) and the third i just vacuumed my room and wanted to express this

fire agate! a new fangem i came up with a few weeks ago and then didn't scan or edit the art of until yesterday... (i got the idea for them while on a trip, which is the only reason i would ever attempt drawing their hair in pencil). this is who tiger was with before they got adopted by a sea slug.

some last minute art fight attacks done in the hnk trading card art style! very fun but a lot of work... i liked refining the process i'll def be doing a bunch of my fangems later. in order, we have @a-dumbo-octopus's tremolite, @exoticdox's diopside, ~Tourmal1ne's labradorite, @iztajuatl's spessartine, ~colorclub's tugtupite, and ~KoriChan's aquamarine!
