Going into full detail about Shadow’s tickle headcanons
If asked, he mainly says no as he is a serious guy and he thinks tickling is childish. Saying yes would also break his image.
”No. I don’t know why you would think about such a stupid thing.”
He usually tries to either ignore or get out of situations where he could be tickled. If anyone gets any ideas, he’ll pretend to be unaffected before Chaos Controlling away when the Ler gets too close.
He usually isn’t OK with physical touch, as it sometimes reminds him of when Maria used to tickle him or hug him. But soon enough, if he’s bonded with you enough, he’ll just let it happen.
He does not like to acknowledge that he is ticklish. It kinda embarrasses him.
He has almost completely forgotten what it feels like to be tickled because it’s been years since he was last tickled. He sometimes gets curious about it, but is too edgy and cool to ask.
He is slightly confused about the idea of tickling. He finds it very weird that just wiggling your fingers on someone’s body can make them laugh. He always wonders why it’s laughing and not screaming. It just doesn’t make sense to him.
Tickle Sensitivity Level For Certain Spots:
2 = Feels more like an itch.
3 = Barely ticklish there.
4 = Noticeable sensation but easily ignored.
5 = Might provoke a flinch if poked.
6 = Will get a smile out of him.
8 = He’ll start laughing if you tickled that.
9 = He will laugh loudly if you tickle that.
10 = Full on broken. He’ll be squirming around on the floor trying to escape, tears coming down from his eyes.
Ears: 1 (It’s a melt spot for him)
It’s hard to catch him off guard to be able to tickle him, but distractions can work.
His belly is extremely sensitive. In fact, it’s the most sensitive area on his whole body. Even just a light poke could make him squeak or at least flinch. Tickling it even just gently will immediately send him into hysterics. And he will occasionally let out a high pitched SCREAM too.
He is very good at holding in his laughter, so he may fool you into actually believing he actually isn’t ticklish. That’s when you try his more sensitive areas and then the truth will unfold.
He might try to attack you or Chaos Control away when you start tickling him, so be careful! He usually fails to Chaos Control though, since it’s hard for him to do because of all the laughing and ticklish sensations getting in the way.
He will occasionally squeak or squeal when you tickle his more sensitive areas. It’s an adorable sound to come out of a guy like him.
He CANNOT handle raspberries. Those get him WHEEZING.
His ears are a melt spot. It’s a very pleasant sensation for him and he will start purring from hedgehog instincts if you start tickling them. Acknowledging it makes him super embarrassed.
Tickling his tail also makes him super embarrassed and he will yelp in embarrassment if you even touch it. He also might be mad at you.
If it’s from someone he trusts, he seems to secretly enjoy the tickling. He doesn’t let it show though.
He will blush a lot if the laughter gets too loud.
He will deny it if you say his laughter is cute.
He will occasionally kick his feet around trying to buck you off like a bull, he usually fails.
He is rarely ever a Ler. He doesn’t really know much about tickling people. He’s only a Ler once someone tickles him. He never starts it.
But if he is a Ler, RUN. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. HIDE IN THE BEST HIDING SPOT YOU CAN FIND. HE’S COMING, AND HE’S COMING FAST.
He shows no mercy when he is a Ler. He will tickle you until you pass out or say sorry.
He will try to find your most sensitive spots, while teasing you all the way.
”Well, you know it was deserved. We should at least make it even~”
”You mortals should know never to tickle me. Now this is your punishment.”
”What’s this? I found a sensitive area? GOOD.”
”…Am I doing this right? I don’t know much about this tickling thing.”
”I’m not going to stop until you say that you’re sorry~”
He doesn’t do much aftercare unless it’s for someone he trusts.
His method of aftercare is wrapping you in a warm blanket and serving you your favourite foods. He might also have a talk with you about why you shouldn’t have tickled him while that happens.
And that’s it! If you couldn’t tell, Shadow is my favourite Sonic character and I’m a HUGE simp for him. I also have a tickle addiction too so I always thought of the idea of Shadow being tickled. If that ever happens in the canon, I will be so happy. 😊
