My siblings and I have been taking turns replaying this momentous game of our childhood. All of the writing and cutscenes are horrible in the most hilarious way and extremely mockable. This particular moment immediately became an inside joke among us and my sister thought it deserved to be a full blown meme, so here I am gracing your eyes with it.

My brother was diagnosed with depression years before I was, and because of that he started therapy years before I did.

I still remember when I was a young teen and he was playing a Nirvana song and he stopped it at this one line: “I miss the comfort of being sad”

He told me that when you start to get better, there’s a part of you that misses being sad and that if you start feeling that way you have to be extra extra aware and careful because if you indulge the feeling you’ll go down a self-destructive spiral

And even though that was years and years ago, I think about it all the time. Especially when I’m reading discourse on the idea of getting so attached to mental illness as an identity that you don’t want to improve things because you feel safe in it and don’t know who you are without it

I always think of that line “I miss the comfort of being sad” and my brother’s warning

Our cat had all four roommates feeding him each day because he acted like he was starving and we didn’t know that the other roommate already fed him. This was our solution, hopefully he will slim down a bit.

One of my favourite shows as a kid, still enjoy watching! The show surprisingly has great humors, very creative ups and downs, not to mention awesome character designs with distinctive character traits, and battle scenes！! Hard to recommend it out bcs nowadays ppl are too aesthetically driven (´皿｀;)( the show’s character design is a bit weird…)

Oh hey, I did end up updating my commission info. Now with ten times more readability! I have no idea what I was thinking when I picked that other one, that was kind of a horrible decision.

Anyway, it’s all pretty much the same, I just updated the art to be more current and not from like… more than a year ago. Also I simplified the additional character rule, which I think actually made them cheaper, so don’t worry. Let me also mention this: now that I look at it, the rule is a little unclear. Each additional character costs half the price of the original drawing. You don’t have to add half of the new price if it’s more than one additional character.

OTHER NOTES!

• I don’t do NSFW (18+ stuff), mecha stuff, or gore. I can do blood but not actual gore. • I… might be getting slightly better in my capacity to draw humanoid non-humans, but I wouldn’t be TOO confident in it. If you dare test my capacity, you are one brave soul. • Let me know if you want me to post the commission or if you want to post it yourself (or neither). • Don’t forget to provide references! • I’ll start working on it after being paid!
