The zylox have plagued humanity for as long as anyone can remember.
They’re the stuff of nightmares. The monsters you tell your kids about to scare them into good behavior. The center of everyone’s darkest fears.
And now, they’re a bigger threat than ever.
Zylox (zy•low) are sadistic monsters that feed on human pain. They’re formidable, with superhuman strength, speed, and agility. They torture indiscriminately, kidnap people in droves, and make up more than half of the crime rate. But recently, they’ve grown cohesive. Coordinated.
Like they’re planning a revolution.
You’re a newly-minted agent at the Zylox Control Corporation—an institute focused on containing the zylox and eradicating all zylox related crimes—and you’ve just been handed your first assignment:
Work with a zylox to infiltrate the most deadliest zylox syndicate to date.
It’s dangerous, deadly, and likely to end in your death.
But you rise to the task.

- Fight to stop the Zylox revolution, and uncover groundbreaking secrets about the zylox along the way.
Junit (M, 24)
A captured zylox forced to do the ZCC’s (the Zylox Control Corporation’s) bidding, and your assigned partner. He’s flippant, bubbly, troublesome, and extraordinarily dangerous.
You’ll likely have to keep an eye on him to prevent him from escaping, or, you know, sneaking off to torture some poor soul.
Rion (M, 25):
Cold and quietly sassy strategist. He’s brilliant, calculating, and has a bit of a short fuse. He tends to keep people at an arm’s length, and you’ve never managed to make it past a distantly amicable relationship. But, perhaps that can change.
Aiden: (M, 28)
Your longtime loyal friend who cares deeply for you. He’s your senior agent, and a great recourse. He’s the perfect soldier: strait-laced, by-the-book, and fiercely protective.
Q: (F, 27)
Off-beat, spunky doctor who’s as wacky as she is skilled. Somehow, she always turns on the serious personally like a switch whenever higher-ups are around…
She’s fun and boisterous, but what might you find if you dig a little deeper?
Mermoset (F, 22)
A timid, nervous fellow rookie agent who has low self esteem issues. She seems to harbor a dark past that runs deeper than simple trauma.
can i ask more about Coleman??? i love an earnest man who's kinda nerdy 🤭
Definitely!! And he’s probably one of the sweetest characters I’ve ever made 🥹.
His first name is Jamie. He’s 25 and a newer agent (he’s been an agent for around a year). It actually took him two years longer than most to to become an agent because he kept failing the physical, but he was extremely determined and is now a very capable agent.
He doesn’t give up easily, and WILL see the good in anyone before the bad. He’s really bad at lying if it’s not for an undercover mission, and will usually elect to tell the truth (you’ll probably know if he’s telling even a white lie to make you feel comfortable).
He’s indeed very earnest and he’s quite socially anxious. Definitely nerds out on stories (webcomics, movie franchises, and books)
Also, I’m now working on his description for the IF intro post! You totally reminded me to!
Lackadaisical, aloof, blunt, and odd. Type to always speak her mind, even though it rarely makes sense. Obsessed with surgical experimentation. Marches to the beat of her own drum.

Love interests:
Merlin (m). He's old, prickly, sometimes mean... but less so to you than others, which is gratifying. His study is your sanctuary, his wit your sparring partner. You suspect your tutor is hiding a great many things from you, so pursuing him could be a bad idea. But perhaps you cannot resist an attempt to wiggle your way into his affections.
Sir Kay (m). King Arthur's foster-brother and seneschal of his lands. A behemoth of a man; tall, wide, thickly muscled. He's a brute, but he's carried a torch for you ever since you met him. Whether or not you entertain his affections is of course up to you, but the decision might be easier if only he stopped being so cruel to some of the aspiring knights who should be his protégés.
Sir Gawain (m). The bastard brother to King Lot, who's your sister Morgause's husband... small world. He is Sir Kay's best friend, though the two could not be more different. Fair Gawain is charitable, popular with the men at arms and so charming that he's widely known as the Maidens' Knight. Not that he is without his shortcomings; you would know, given he has somehow become a dear protector and confidant. Perhaps you still want him.
Sir Galahad (m/f*). An upstart knight from a backwards province, he should be fated to obscurity, but possesses strange talents and seems to carry a touch of the divine. Sir Lancelot brought him to court, so impressed was he with the young lad. Maybe you knew him long before he was presented to the Round Table, though. Maybe you've seen him in your dreams. If only Galahad, put off by your witchcraft, didn't hate you to the point of obsession...
Guenevere (f), the golden Queen of Camelot. Your brother's wife. She's the most beautiful woman in Albion, and the most talkative, and perhaps, paradoxically, the loneliest. She desperately wishes for your approval, but with the way she acts sometimes, it's hard not to wonder what else she might be wishing for.
Ninianne (f). The Lady of the Lake, ancient and most powerful fairy in all of Albion. She is the mother of Sir Lancelot, has tested your brother's might and appears to share a complicated history with Merlin. She's a mystery and seems to know much more about you than you can be entirely comfortable with.
Setting: this is not a precise retelling of any particular Arthurian cycle and lots of liberties were taken with the characters. Albion is a highly fictionalized version of/inspired by 13th-14th century England and Brittany.
*literally.

curtsying and humbly presenting this to @interact-if
Your if has such an interesting setting, unlike anything I’ve really before! Can we get fun facts about the ros 👀
Thank you so much 🥹!!! It’s been really fun to create!
And yes! Fun facts below:
Junit: He loves ice-cream—like is almost unhealthily obsessed with it. His favorite flavors are vanilla and mint chocolate chip, though he rarely ever gets to have ice-cream anymore.
Oh, and he also loves higher registered screams the most. Growls of pain are a close second.
Coleman: He’s adopted! He really has no qualms about it, but his mind does wander to what his birth parents might have been like sometimes. He gets sad about it on rare occasions, but overall, he’s very happy with his family.
Aiden: Is a few symptoms away from having OCD 🤫
Q: Really loves being upside down. If it wasn’t dangerous/unhealthy to be upside down for long periods of time, she’d do it for hours on end.
Mermoset: She really, really, really wants to dye her hair white, but she’s too scared she’ll look bad.
Rion: He used to get bullied in middle school, but he outsmarted them. It got to a point where the bullies were the ones who were shunned for a while, and people didn’t mess with him again.
Also, Coleman is romance-able! I just need to write a good enough intro for him :,).
a single typo literally has the explosive power of a nuclear bomb like i just read back possibly the most beautiful scene ive ever created feeling so proud of myself ready to start thinking about the nobel prize in literature etc. etc. and then suddenly
