Fallen Soldier

"He died a hero, Ma’am." The words were meant to provide some comfort but her heart was too broken to hear anything but He died. 

Muse A and Muse B are young and in love, engaged to be married when Muse B is called to war. The wedding is put on hold and Muse B ships out. Muse A and Muse B communicate as best as they can while they are apart. Muse A staying loyal in the long months Muse B is fighting. 

Muse A hears of a large battle that Muse B was supposed to be part of, the battle is a slaughter and when the names of the fallen are released Muse B is among them. Muse A must find a way to put themself back together and go on and live a good life for the sacrifice Muse B made for their freedom. Muse A must live for Muse B’s memory.

Twist: Muse B is found on the battlefield near death and rescued, it was a paper work mix up that they were listed among the fallen and two weeks after Muse B’s ‘death’ is announced Muse A receives the news that Muse B is alive though badly hurt and will be shipping home once they are stable. 

Twist: Muse A is due to give birth two days after the news of Muse B’s death.

                               living life like you should

Muse A is a college student, coming to their hometown for the summer. While their friends are exploring the world, travelling all through Europe and further, their job at the local bar is meant to pay for college, not globetrotting. One night during their shift they meet Muse B , only a few years older with more money than they could ever spend —- yet somehow their life seems boring and oddly planned. During a night of long talks both discover the similarities in their lives, both wanting more from the world. Completely taken by Muse A's lively nature, Muse B spontaneously invites them to a trip for the summer which, to their surprise, Muse A accepts. Weeks of travel, cozy hotels and long nights ensue in which both find they have the time of their lives.
