With awareness, reality shifts. We’re able to see that being alive is its own purpose, and that everything we do while we live is an expression of our art. How we think, converse, and behave determines the quality of this art. We are life, but we’ve been perceiving from the mind’s point of view for so long that it’s difficult to see beyond it. The mind denies its separateness when it says, “I feel good,” or “I feel bad.” Realistically, the mind doesn’t feel; the body does. The mind tells a story about guilt, anger, or even embarrassment, and the body pays the consequences. Ruiz, Don Miguel; The Toltec Art of Life and Death: A Story of Discovery
