@tiger-lilium
"Lily?" Wendy heard the familiar voice call out to her. It couldn’t have been. She hadn’t seen Lily in forever. Wendy ran to the Indian Princess. Remembering what she had been taught she didn’t hug her but was just thankful to see another familiar face.
A smile played across Tiger Lily's face as Wendy ran up to her. In an uncharacteristic move, she threw her arms a girl and pulled her close. The sense of familiarity had been long lost to Tiger Lily, but this was a close as it got. She realized what she had been doing and she pulled away, pulling herself together.
"Why does it feel like I haven't seen you in a while?" she asked, a confused expression on her face. As far as Tiger Lily knew, only hours had passed since the Egypt debacle. For the past few months, she had been wandering around in a trance.
"Wendy, oh Wendy, where are you?"
"Well, this is certainly different."
Fan art of Tiger Lily I drew for a friend :)
Rumple walks along in his teenage girl body, he sees another girl standing around, he didn’t want to be bothered so he quietly tried to escape the future conversation but stepped on a twig.
Even in the horrible environment Tiger Lily's senses were as keen as ever. She knew of the girl's presence before she made the mistake of being so noisy. Tiger Lily slowly turned to face her but didn't approach her just yet. "Next time you try to sneak away, at least try to be discrete about it."
"Lily? Is that you?" Wendy walked up to the Indian girl. It has been too long.
"Of course it's me, who else would it be?" she asked, reaching over to touch Wendy's forehead. Perhaps the lack of water in the heat was affecting her brain.
Tiger Lily's day had been rather dull, she was repeating her daily routine, almost in a trance at how little change her life had in the past few weeks. She figured it'd be the same as any other day in Neverland, until it happened. Now, Tiger Lily was very much in touch with nature in Neverland, she regarded herself as part of the island and she could usually sense when something was off, but this caught her off guard.
When the earth beneath her feet began to tremble, a rare occurrence in this island, she knew she had to brace herself for something. In less than a minute the strong gust of wind joined the headquarter, making her bring her arms up to cover her face. Once the wind subsided and she no longer felt the land moving, she let her arms fall back to her side. For a moment, the bright sun blinded her from seeing the change in scenery. When she finally blinked enough times to regain her sight, her brown eyes grew wide.
What had happened to her home? Tiger Lily was shocked at her surroundings. She thought it had to be a dream, until she felt the burning sensation on her feet. She looked down at the hot sand, her bare feet buried deep within it. The realization that she was not in Neverland anymore hit her hard. She looked around once more, almost panicked, but no one was in sight.
He had been looking for his sister for a couple days now. Where was she? He sighed as he sat down on a rock. Maybe she was just away and he shouldn't worry so much.
She didn’t bother telling anyone where she was going, she didn’t feel the need to. The tribesmen knew by now that if Tiger Lily wanted to do something, she would do it without asking for anyone’s permission. It had been three days since she had left the camp, two days more than she had expected, but she enjoyed roaming through Neverland more than anyone. When she finally decided that it was time to go home, she had been worried about Autumn after all, she spotted a familiar figure.
"Why the long face?" She asked, looking down at him. "Did someone finally realize he’s not daddy’s favorite?"
He knew Tiger didn’t often care for him. He was ok with that. He cared about her. He ignored her words and ran over to hug her. He was glad to see she was ok. “I be worried.” His English wasn’t as good as Tigers or anyone else for that matter. He had never really went outside the camp. He only went to hunt and provide for the elders. He knew she probably didn’t want to hug him. He never understood what he did to upset her. “Come to dinner.” He said in their native tongue. He felt more comfortable speaking that way. “We are having turkey.”
It wasn't that Tiger Lily didn't care for her brother half-brother, she just didn't feel the need to show much affection toward anyone but her sister. She cared for Winter, most of the time, although they were complete opposites. The two of them were raised in completely different times by completely different people. When she was younger there weren't dozens of boys and girls for the shadow to pick from, so the natives would be subjected to Pan's terror more than now. Winter was born decades after Tiger Lily's mother had been sacrificed, by that time the shadow had brought kid after kid from different lands, the natives were able to stay away from the chaos for as long as they could.
In a sense, Tiger Lily was jealous of Winter. She had been the eldest, therefore she was first in line to take over as Chief. That was until Winter was born, then she knew that as the only son he'd be taking over. However, Tiger Lily didn't give up that easily. Why should she be pushed aside because of her gender? She was just as capable, if not more, than Winter. He was weak in her eyes, something their father looked down upon when Tiger Lily showed any sign of it.
When Winter's arms were thrown around her, she tensed up at the touch. The wonderful sound of their native tongue relaxed her just a bit. She'd been speaking English with anyone she met in Neverland, she missed the language of the tribe. "Dinner?" she asked back. "Did you catch it on your own?"
