I was just a kid and all I really wanted was my father.

Izzy found herself softening up to Tix. The other girl looked young, but her eyes were old, as if they’d seen things. Like her. “PTSD, you? If you wanna share, though I guess we’ll all find out at group anyway.” She moved in this space as if it was achingly familiar to her; Izzy wondered how long she’d been here, in treatment, and when she would discharge.
&&;; Tix smiled at Izzy and said, “I have PTSD too! But I also have borderline personality disorder and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder. I think that’s probably why they keep me here.” She was attempting to joke, but she wasn’t laughing. She liked the hospital more than she liked it at home, but it wasn’t paradise. She still wished she could be somewhere else.
i just spent a ridiculous amount of time on my theme oh man.

Everyday had been similar for Luna, and though she was far from complaining, it just meant that routine was impossible to avoid, and sometimes something new to freshen that up was welcomed with open arms, and that was exactly what days like today did. The library had teamed with the hospitals in the area, donating books that weren’t used often, and that were better off to people who were in better need of them. The blonde had taken responsibility of delivering the load herself, it got her out from behind the desk, and it meant she could speak to fresh faces. With a heavy cart full of books, Luna had made her way to the hospital library, and as she entered inwards, she instantly started searching for a familiar face, Tix. She’d grown fond of the teen, pleasant talks and a little joking, and the older woman had found herself picking out a book every other week especially for the other. “Good afternoon everyone.” She chimed out softly, offering a wide grin to those that looked in her direction.
&&;; Tix recognized the woman who came in the door. It was Luna. Tix knew she worked at the library that donated the books and Tix liked her especially because she always brought her something special. Tix wasn’t the only one that met Luna at the doors to the hospital, but she was the only one that came up to her and, after looking around Luna at the box of books being carried in by one of the hospital orderlies, said, ❝Hello! It’s been a little bit since you last came here.❞ Tix held up the books Luna had brought her last time and added, ❝I really liked these! My favorite was The 5th Wave, but I thought The Casual Vacancy was good too, if a little depressing.❞

soothing, light, but always manages to be strong and make a change (x)
pisces aesthetic ;; the moon, succulent plants, art, summer nights, meteor showers, overplayed music.

“Uh, yeah.” Isabela took the other girl in and tried to smooth out her resting bitch face. “I’m Isabela. Izzy. I’ve never been in the same group as you. This is cool.” She stuffed her hands deep in the pockets of her bomber jacket, fidgeting with the linings. “Where’s the room? Er, could you show me, I guess?” Why was she so damn aggressive?
&& ;; Tix smiled at Izzy. She was quite pretty and much taller than Tix, but that was normal. Tix was quite short for her age. She didn’t even look eighteen with her baby face and height. At Izzy’s question, Tix nodded and said, ❝I can show you the way.❞ She was silent for a moment as she headed down the hall before she turned to Izzy again and asked softly, ❝So why are you here?❞ She was silent for a moment more before she quickly added, ❝You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.❞

@brckenxwings
&&;; It was Tuesday, which meant that the library was going to be dropping off more books that they no longer used. Tix had already read everything that interested her in the hospital’s library and looked forward to this every week. She only read the books she was interested in, but there always seemed to be a few that she liked. This was also because Tix was familiar with the woman who dropped the books off. Her name was Luna and Tix thought she was awfully nice.

&&;; Tix spent most of her free time in the library anymore. It was so much better than spending it alone. The library was full of books and other people and yet always silent. It was the dream come true for a girl who was easily startled by loud noises. She was sitting at a table near the window today, reading and watching the trees wave in the spring wind outside.
“syzygynights:
Isabela both loathed and lived for day treatment. On one hand, she felt like she wanted to break out of her own skin, but on the other, it wasn’t like anybody talked about the incident. More than that: they talked about not talking about the incident. She was checking in at reception when she spotted a girl her age that she’d never seen in her treatment group. “Yo.”
&&;; Tix jumped at the sound of the voice addressing her. Tix didn’t really have many friends at the hospital. The few people who did talk to her were the staff there and sometimes the other patients. Usually when she was being spoken to, she was approached first. Something the patients and staff had been told to do because of how she displayed her PTSD. When Tix saw the girl addressing her now, she immediately knew that she was new and hadn’t yet been given the message. Forgiving her instantly, Tix smiled nervously at her and said, ❝Hey! Here for group? ❞
