hey y'all, i don't usually ask for irl stuff, but this is very important to me. last month, a friend of mine's mom had a huge medical issue in florida, 1000 miles away from us. she was in and out of the icu, had to have multiple emergency surgeries, and missed huge life events like proms and graduations. she's not out of the woods yet, but her family wants to move her closer to home. because of her condition, that will require a medical evac, which costs $35k and is not covered by insurance.
