hello !! i haven't been here for a good year, but i do miss this blog + the people i've been writing with.
i'm planning to start this blog clean over by remaking it next week once i'm back from holiday.

actually lowkey considering to just.. revamp this blog instead. i'm too impatient to wait until next week thursday / friday to try and make a new blog.
i already adjusted my muse list to who's been rotating in my head lately, so you can already take a peek to see if our interests / verses align. 🙂↕️ just a warning that i chopped a lot of muses from my list.
also i won't be writing solely female muses anymore. i've been finding my voice and joy in writing male ones, too, lately.

the merchant lifts his gaze at the call of his name, brown hues landing upon the blonde as she approaches him. a hand lifts to pull his cloak further over his shoulders as a force of habit, only to fall back down to his pen and paper when he remembered he cloak wasn't needed during the warm summer months in mistria. balor offers her a smile instead, one that grows slightly as celine's demeanor turns shy as she divulged her request.
❝ sure, that won't be a problem. ❞ he ducks his head away for a moment, scribbling down her requests on his ever growing list. usually he went around the town asking the people what they wanted from the capital, and even though more merchants were returning given the repairs to the main bridge, balor was mostly the one who brought supplies to and from both locations. ❝ i was going to leave on saturday night, seeing as the capital is a lot less busy on sundays. are those the only seeds you want ? i can try and see if my supplier will sell me other flowers not native to this region, if you'd like. ❞
Visibly perking up upon hearing his agreement, she cannot help the smile that grows upon her lips. Not that she expected Balor to deny her request ━ she doesn't remember the last he did, unless it was something crazy that someone requested. It's just that she felt bad for bothering him. " Oh, really ? " The idea of having flowers blossoming in her garden that were never seen before in Mistria would be delightful. To wake up, look out of her window and see exotic plants in her very own garden ? Oh, she couldn't even begin to imagine all the kinds of flora she could grow !
" If it isn't too much of a hassle, I would absolutely adore that. " She'd read about many flowers that grew in other parts of the world ━ too many to name and hope he'd find seeds of that he could buy. She opted for requesting simple ones that she'd figured would be easy to buy, but if he found multiple and more rare ones .. ? The excitement was clearly written upon her visage ━ nearly bouncing upon the balls of her feet out of excitement.
" It's not a necessity if you can't find any, though. I can always wait. And, oh.. don't worry about them being in season ! Any flowers from any season will do. "
"Huh? Did I say that? Was there something wrong with what I said?" he said, rubbing the back of his neck and his expression showing that of mild guilt. Unsurprisingly, Law was quick to jump to the conclusion that he might have peeved Shionne with a comment that left his lips without thinking.
It was a shame if it the conversation ended just like that. In fact, it wasn't often that he even got the opportunity to talk to her alone like this. At the moment, everyone else seemed to be preoccupied with their own thing. He supposed that it was rather unexpected him to start an interaction, not considering if Shionne was even up for an exchange of words- especially when she said he ruined her few moments of peace and quiet.
He then blinked a few times at the words that followed suit. Whoa, wait. Okay, so she's willing to listen at least. Phew... I didn't completely mess up this time. "Uh, oh- Right." He gave a nod. "Like I said just now, I had to learn what I shouldn't eat the hard way. There were times they just didn't feel like giving me food at the Bureau. Gotta make do with what nature can still offer, you know? Didn't help that Cyslodia was all ice and snow. Or the hell on Earth heat at Calaglia. Man, guess folks at Rena have it easier up there, huh?"
Finger tapped ━ seemingly impatiently ━ against her elbow, before she'd shake her head. Usually, Shionne would've snapped ━ or moreso would've simply left to be alone once more. But Law.. well, he was Law. Perhaps it was because she'd grown slowly ( but surely ) fond of him, gotten used to his presence. And that in itself was something Shionne wasn't used to. Although she ensured to keep a distance from him and the others of their merry band of misfits, she could feel her heart thawn over time. Her icy demeanor slipped easier ━ exposing her softer and more caring side.
She wasn't used to company. Either she had to be cold and stoic to scare others away, or they'd treat her like a monster ━ requiring walls around her to not get hurt by their words and actions. That, plus, it was mainly for their own safety.
" They didn't feed you ? " Was it truly that surprising they didn't treat their Dahnan 'employees' well ? " I guess there were times you made a bad decision in trying to eat something ? " She could only imagine how well that went, especially if one didn't have any experience with what might have been poisonous and what not. That, plus.. well, it was Law they were talking about. She was lucky she never had to go that far herself.
" Yes, I had it extremely easy up there. " Her tone was harsh and dripping with sarcasm, slightly turning away from him. Being locked in a cage like a beast, being examined over and over as they performed countless experiments ; Law's life was something she'd wish for at that moment in her life. " Atleast I was being fed. " Her walls went back up for a moment due to the offense she took by his comments ━ though soon realised it most likely wasn't his intention. Law wasn't one for verbally offending someone. He was.. too nice for that. " Seems like that's atleast one commonality we share, for better or worse. " An impatient tap against elbow as arms crossed once more. " Surprised you're still alive, honestly. I might not be a foraging expert myself, but I don't doubt it's hard to distinguise edible to poisonous ones. "

“ Oh, Balor ! ” A voice merrily calls out to the familiar merchant passing by her cottage, causing Celine to put her Codex Mistria beside her on the bench as she stood up. Hurrying over to him, a friendly smile was plastered upon her lips. Although often spotted with her trademark capelet in most seasons ; the summer heat made her keep it within her closet and opt for a simple ( yet cute ! ) light rose top tucked neatly into a darker pink, long skirt.
Coming to a stop beside him, arms are held behind her back. “ You don't happen to be heading out of town anytime soon, do you ? ” Oh, she hoped he was planning to head out soon, even though her request was far from an urgent one. “ If you do, would you mind stocking up on some seeds ? Oh, uhm.. ” Now, this is where the shyness kicked in with arms now placed in front of her and fingers fidgeting amongst themselves. “ Not your usual ones, though. I was hoping that, perhaps, you'd consider bringing some that you haven't brought to Mistria before ? Like.. foxglove and peonies. I'd love to see some different flowers flourishing in my garden. ”

❝ Well the long and short of it is because grandfather decided to throw me into stasis for an indeterminate amount of time. Likely because I'd be a constant thorn in his side for the rest time which is ironic in its own sense. ❞ He settles down, back also resting against the tree as his hand attempted to straighten ever-uncooperative hair. Failing, as per usual. A frustrated sigh leaving his lips, casting those mismatched hues towards her own. ❝ Oh-haha. And to be fair, if you were hearing about me that means I'm not doing my job. You know, on account of making sure nobody's able to escape the Underworld and all that. ❞
He raises a brow towards Ciri, catching on after a moment.❝ The surface, you mean? Well yes and no. Little baby sister helped me with that part. Finding out where exactly you went was the hard part. I er.. Called in a favor, for that one. ❞ A silent, unspoken thanks being given to Master Chaos in the depths of his mind. In that moment he gathered his breath, a tad labored. His distance from the Underworld placing a strain upon his ability. Even still, it was more than most mortal men could dream of.
❝ As for what I'm doing; I'm genuinely here for a laugh, mate. I was hoping you'd join me for it. Besides you still have yet to teach me that card game you went on and on about. ❞
A cocky grin found its way on her lips, palms rested atop her knees. “ Does that mean you're slackin' on the job right now? Kinda disappointed in you, Zag. ” Deliberately ignoring his reason he gave just minutes prior, just to tease him.
“ Haah ━ true enough. Still, hearing word of you somehow would be nice. ” Even if that meant he wasn't accordingly doing his job. Then again.. if she did hear about him, maybe that in itself would be reason enough to know something is wrong.
“ Thought you knew me well enough to know I'm always up for some fun. ” Because despite her issues of having been incapable of leaving the Underworld, @emwrcte had made her time there fun. Making her, oddly enough, miss the time she was there. It was nice to spend time with someone who didn't fear her because of her abilities and was on par ━ dare she say even better than ━ her despite her abilities.
“ I hope you're prepared for an entire afternoon, then. Believe me, once ya got the hang of it ; you won't want to quit. Gwent's more addicting than you know. ” Something she experienced first - hand. Ciri had at first thought it was lame when she was younger ; a game with cards. If it didn't involve swords and battles, Ciri wasn't interested. Yet one afternoon she decided to sit down with Geralt and Vesemir out of curiousity why these old men liked this cardgame, both of them succesfully attempting to teach her. It took effort and patience, but she ended up loving the card game.
“ Lets get going. ” Having finally caught her breath, she pushed herself off of the trunk of the tree. “ Blaviken's nearby. We can kill some more monsters on our way, meanwhile you need to tell me everything about this sister of yours. I don't remember meeting her, nor hearing you ever mention her. ”

sorry for the inactivity!! we, somehow, have mouses on our terrace ( even tho we're on the first floor ) and we hear them chew underneath our floor of our gaming room at night, and it's making me way too anxious to really write. 🥹
Hands were tightly wrapped around her rod, eyes narrowed while her gaze never left the turk in front of her. Turks usually ( more like always ) meant bad news for her, ever since her childhood. Didn't they ever get tired of this cat and mouse game? For a while, she'd thought ━ or rather had hoped ━ they'd finally stopped pursuing her and given up after their numerous attempts. It had been a while since she had last seen a turk, but alas, here Reno stood again.
" You can't intimidate me, you should know that by now. " She was steadfast and unwavering ; standing firm and straight. " You can tell Tseng you failed. And to finally leave me alone! "
" Honestly, at this point, I don't get why you still keep on trying. Does Shinra really pay you that well? " An obvious attempt to provoke him, to make him frustrated. To squabble with him enough that, hopefully, he'd just forget why he was there in the first place ( well, if that even worked in the first place ).
" Or are you just bored? ~ "
