Wanting to read fics so bad that I end trying to write my own but the sad truth is I can’t actually focus long enough to go somewhere with these because my brain hates staying still.
A simply idea went from canon timeline, to a what if, to mystery horror, to adventure-fantasy and now I’m stuck daydreaming on a modern au with merman!Raúl and it’s like fuck you brain pick one already ò_ó.
There is a scene on episode flashback which made me just facepalm so hard and it was Raúl’s attempt to talk to Sofia on the lockers.
I was all like: where did your Sherlock little brain and eyes go, woman?!!
He was all nervous and showing little confidence, kept his distance and just announced himself without physical contact, even the way he held his backpack and tried to ask about her health was kind of meek for his usual cockyness yet she didn’t pick up on any of this? Just went all, go frick yourself and your care I had one hell of a time watching tv so bye *slam locker*
*facepalm*
She saw Javier get nervous about his father, from about two tables away with people on the way and she didn’t see Raúl react all weirdly shy right in front of her face? How?!
He’s got many issues no doubt about it but damn on that time he did try his silly best to befriend Sofia ‘the normal way’ and it ended so bad for him :(
Watching it for the fourth time, I still ship Raúl and Sofia as hard as the first time around and hold the thought Isabela was the only one who changed for the better with everything that happened; maybe Alex too.
My thirsty self still asks herself how long do I need to wait until I start to see fics of this series X’D
Pants and shirts flew through the air as Ahsoka sat perched on her master’s bed, watching him frantically panic over his wardrobe. One unbleached cotton shirt didn’t quite make the arch and it snagged on her montral, flopping into her face comically. She let out a little giggle and leaned over the foot of the bed, peering into the dark recesses of Anakin Skywalker’s closet and apparently his psyche.
“I don’t understand what all the fuss is about, Master,” Ahsoka said, her voice calm, conversational and not at all laced with amusement at Anakin’s clear distress. “It’s not like you’ve never escorted Senators Kenobi and Amidala to an evening event before. Just wear your usual robes. You’ll be fine!”
Anakin sat up and looked back at Ahsoka, a wild light in his eyes. “Ahsoka, you don’t understand! If I don’t wear something suitably… formal enough then those two… loca mesh’la koochoos will insist I change into something they just happened to have laying around.”
“Oh,” Ahsoka replied, a bit surprised that Anakin didn’t notice the shirt hanging from her horn. “That sounds… convenient?”
“It’s a trick,” Anakin insisted, turning back to his closet. “And I’m not falling for it this time. Last time the shirt they gave me was practically open to my navel! What kind of self respecting Jedi walks around with a shirt like that?”
Ahsoka pursed her lips and shrugged. “Uhm… Quinlan Vos?”
“I said ‘self-respecting’, Snips!” her master retorted from the closet. “Ah hah! Here we are. These are silk from Naboo. They can’t get anymore formal than that!”
Anakin emerged from his closet, dishevelled and holding a raw silk set of formal Jedi robes and the matching tabards and under-layers. Ahsoka didn’t have the heart to tell him the robes looked wrinkled, he seemed to relieved to have something to keep the devious Senators Kenobi and Amidala at bay.
She didn’t really understand what the problem was. Everyone on Coruscant knew that Senators Kenobi and Amidala were an item, not only in the Senate but after hours as well. Kenobi fought tirelessly for the right and privileges of those systems that were the victims of war and ecological disaster like Mandalore and Senator Amidala fought for the civil rights of all sentient beings and was a strong voice against organized crime and the pockets of slavery within the galaxy that the Republic turned a blind eye to.
And they both were vocal and tenacious opponents to the continuing war with the Separatists and the wanton abuse of the Mandalorian clones that the Republic was employing in said war.
Ahsoka could think of worse people to tumble into bed with every now and then.
Speaking of which…
“Well I have to go, Skyguy,” Ahsoka announced standing upright and waving to the door to the refresher where her master had disappeared into. “Let me know if you need me to save you from being ravished by your favorite Senators!”
“SNIPS!” Anakin shouted from the refresher, angry and embarrassed but unwilling to leave and face his padawan.
Ahsoka’s laughter stayed behind as she left Anakin to primp for his date.
Some idea of an AU my brain couldn’t leave quite alone but as usual can’t stay put long enough to actually make a normal fic about.
Apologies about any weird sentence, or typo, all fault falls on this dumb brain of mine.
Warnings A/B/O, cuestionable motives, mention of manipulation .
Padme can see how different Anakin has become over time, going from the passionate young man she fell in love to this angry walking timebomb and it scares/worries her so she starts looking for the reasons for such change. That’s how she finds out Anakin and Obi-wan’s relationship is worryingly strained and they have begun to drift apart which, as her mate, she can taste is making Anakin seethe with displeasure.
More worrisome though is sensing that Obi-wan too feels oddly bothered by these clashes, worry and tension never quite leaving him alone, enough that she braves asking him about their relationship or why they keep rubbing each other wrong.
The answer would have sent a weaker person into a panic.
He doesn’t know or at least not why it keeps getting worse and every attempt he has given to fix whatever misunderstanding or slight just seems to fall short, obviously failing to hit on the real reason why Anakin finds fault and lies in everything he does/says.
Obi-wan tries to reasure her and prompts her to just ignore their dumb fights since (unlike her husband) he can tell she’s pregnant and it wouldn’t be fair to burden her with their shit on top of her own but she can’t leave it alone.
It eats at her knowing something is both offsetting her mate instincts enough to hurt him/unbalance his mind and worsening the health of their friend until Padme decides enough is enough and starts working on fixing the issue herself.
She begins to spend more time with Obi-wan, inviting him for a walk or tea, seaking him out for chats or to help her soothe her nerves about the ongoing pregnancy -- even going as far as manipulating the Senate into cancelling or cutting out missions for him. Initially it was just to discover the truth behind the complaints and lies her husband kept finding on the jedi master, yet each session drifted further from that cold hearted approach.
Her attention to details (skill from her work as a politician) lead her to catch on small tells from the other man every so often and many of his actions often ended with her more endeared to the older omega rather than pushing her towards the same negative feelings her husband often shared on their matebond.
While unbelievably hard to catch, some of Obi-wan's more subtle actions can easily be connected to his instincts and it’s through those Padme both figures out Obi-wan is more affected by the failing relationship with his friend and that also he’s not quite aware the consequences it's having on his health -- He blames it all to the ongoing war and he’s sure everyone else feels the same.
These reunions plus her growing affection for him gives her the idea to add Anakin to the table, to give them the chance to communicate in a peaceful environment without the war or other duties to distract them so they can hopefully, with some extra help, solve their conflict.
Not all her motives are exactly selfless, Padme finds easy to admit how much she desires Obi-wan company and subtle affection, working to fix their problem in a way that gets her to make them become bondmates only results on a win-win situation for everyone so she sets her mind to work on convincing her misguided mate to start pulling Obi closer instead of constantly pushing him away.
Thankfully, she has first hand experience on how her husband gets when he’s given a chance to interact/take care her on the days she feeling closer to her omegan nature (he’s rarely one to pull back from his own instincts so it drives him crazy when someone he loves willingly goes all soft, small and vulnerable around him -- both during or outside a heat) and while she knows he’s aware Obi-wan is an omega, Padme is certain her mate doesn’t quite get the jedi master is indeed one, so she will help him see their friend is not that different from her.
Basically, Padme is a BAMF who loves Anakin and wants their little family to live happily so she decides to fix whatever problem Obi-wan keeps causing to her husband only to find out the other omega is as clueless as to what has the Alpha’s pant in a twist so she ends befriending him hard and that leads her to falling bit by bit in love with Obi-wan, who she knows Anakin loves too but is an angry potato about it so she has to manipulate him into having a more active role on his pursuit before whatever got him on a tantrum sends Obi-wan to the other side of the galaxy.
