Fb marketplace is fun but also incredibly addicting. I was never really into buying or acquiring items besides going to thrift stores but now since i have my own place with my bf i am becoming a little addicted to items. I spent my entire morning just scrolling my phone mostly looking at marketplace without even realizing how quickly time is going by. It feels a little weird and too easy to acquire things, your algorithm just chooses things for you and you dont even have to dig. I dont want the stuff i own to be chosen by an algorithm?

I genuinely dont feel like im meant for modern life most of the time. I hate going on instagram i hate online shopping and i despise being forced to drive to work. It all just feels so ridiculous and unnecessary, i also hate that everything that’s modern is so ugly and tasteless, everything that looks nice while also being sturdy and long lasting happens to be vintage or is made the exact same way as stuff being made in the 1970s. Like i just dont get why in order for things to be “cool” or look nice they need to be following trends from decades ago. I want to like modernity and “progress” but there are no aspects of it that appeal to me

The concept of being a therapist is so crazy to me… how are they just seeing client after client in emotional turmoil and just have to stay grounded for each one

I love therapy and i love my boyfriend i love going outside i love being in bed and i love listening to a beautiful song. I love the rain and eating worldly foods. I love my dog and hope he lives a long time, i love my parents although they refuse to understand me

Sometimes i just want to be alone and be outside and learn every plant mushroom and animal forever i hate being at home i feel so trapped and incapable of anything. I dont really know what to do with my life i want to contribute meaningfully to the world but i feel like im running out of time and im just meant to wander around forever

going backpacking for the first time in big sur in 1.5 weeks im a bit scared its a pretty isolated trail that is often overgrown and sketchy. but it also looks so beautiful. i often think about how i have to do all the wilderness and nature stuff I wanna do now because in the coming years the weather will become more and more unpredictable. i'm really happy that i've had the opportunity to hike and visit so many beautiful places and experience the biodiversity they all have to offer, it just scares me that there will be a point where I won't be able to do that anymore or it won't be as fun
