20 years ago, I tagged along with my friend Jesse Thayer and spent the summer building stages for a company called ESI; specifically, I worked a couple George Strait shows and a few NSYNC shows. Long days, long nights, rooming with folks who had heroin Fedex-ed to them, eating at a Chili’s with a guy who had OD’d and technically died for a few moments, and I had a drink thrown at me by a frustrated co-worker (it was a Dairy Queen Blizzard, so as it was supremely thick it didn’t have the intended effect, but nevertheless I got the message). An incredible experience.

I had a Polaroid PDC-640 digital camera with me (0.3MP!!!) as we criss-crossed the states, and I remember it fondly, as it was my first digital camera. Thankfully, a good chunk of the pictures survived!
