The mini medusa fidgeted nervously with the hem of her apron, still not sure if this was actually happening or not. Well, it must be a dream, right? After all, she didn't remember ever having a twin.

"...U-um, nice to meet y-you, Mary..-san?" It felt rather peculiar to be addressing the other with the same name as her own.

"Dopple...ganger? Well, um... I don't think so... But, maybe?! Um..." It was hard to figure out what to say, Mary was still rather shocked.

"D-Does this mean I-I'm g-going to die in three... Days? B-But I don't want to d-die yet...!" she said, trembling in fear. There's so much she hasn't done yet in life! So much she hasn't accomplish! Like finishing the BL series she really liked!

Ah! Mary forgot to lock her door… Again. She somewhat panicked when there was a strange-looking man with funny hair entered her little cottage. He doesn’t look scary… But he looks rather strange to her…

And then she reminded herself that there are many kinds of people in this world. But it didn’t really help her nervousness.

“I— Uh… I-It’s alright…! W-Well… I-If you’d like to h-head back t-to town… Y-You can just… H-Head west… And… And…”. It wasn’t long until she broke down started muttering “It’s okay, it’ll be alright” to herself. In her heart, she silently apologized to the stranger, but his visit was so sudden!

He stared blankly at her. She looked so… agitated. Did he do anything wrong? Oh, wait, he didn’t even need to ask himself that. Barging in was wrong. Talking to and frightening an innocent little girl the moment he meets her was wrong. He muttered a soft apology at her and tried to comfort her, but she looks too out of it to even respond properly.

“He-hello? Earth to… uh… what’s your name, little lady?”

She heard him alright. It's just that the albino was too scared to even say anything, most of the things she said sounded like weird chanting. "M-My n-name...? I-It's... Mary..." she said, her voice trembling.

"I-I'm alright... I-I'm fine... It'll be..okay... Just..stay calm..." she muttered to herself continuously.

Seto nodded his head at her rejection and starting playing with the baby. As they walked he played with the baby as much as he spoke to Mary, making it so none of them would feel neglected. The green-hooded male was pretty enthusiastic about it too.

When they finally arrived at the store, the green-hooded male lost track of the time but quickly remembered as soon as his stomach started to growl. The baby suddenly grew silent, glanced at the male for a bit before laughing. He let out an embarrassed chuckled and glanced at the fluffy medusa.

“Say, Mary, wanna catch something to eat after we buy a bottle for this little toddler?”

Mary couldn't help but let out a small giggle when she heard Seto's stomach growl. She then heard the baby was laughing, and it was simply adorable. Since almost never goes out (especially to the town area) before joining the Mekakushi Dan, these kind of experiences are very rare. Some people say that a baby's laughter can really lighten up someone's mood, and Mary agrees with that.

"That would be great!" said Mary, smiling.

“O-Oh, I-I grew up..here…” Mary replied. She smiled a bit hearing the compliment from the other. “T-Thank you…” she said, quietly. She didn’t quite notice it herself at first. She did all the housework on her own, her cottage wasn’t all that big, so it was easy to clean.

“Ah you did? that must have been fun for you, having such a huge back and front yard due to the forest” she took a seat at one of the empty chairs, admiring the cottage. “your’re welcome, you must help out your parents a lot to have it this nice inside”

"I-I used to get lost often... When I w-was a kid...". Playing outside in the forest was certainly fun, but she would often forget the time, and before Mary even realizes it, the stars started showing up. And the forest can be quite eerie during the night time.

"I... I live alone now..." said the albino. Old memories slowly comes back again, she remembered the time her mother had to defend her when she was attacked by the kids in town.

Ene checked the phone’s battery as saw that it was still at full. She knew the least about Mary. Data about her was very obscure, it made her curious.

Taking a good scan of the place, she noticed the bookshelf. Books have..recently been dominated by computer files lately, she appreciated Mary for still keeping to the old, while she really ought to introduce the young medusa to a broader list of entertainment.

> Mary! Mary! Are these your books? Can I see them?

She called to the white-haired girl. Maybe they could bond this way? It was a rough try!

Mary loves all kinds of books, and the ones she kept on that very bookshelf are her most favorite books. She would read them over and over again and would never get tired of them. Those books are the books that her mother would often read to her when she's a child.

Most of the books in that shelf are fairytales and fables that was created from different parts of the world. While others are a collection of small picture books.

> Mary! Mary! Are these your books? Can I see them?

She wondered a bit when Ene said that to her. Is she interested in reading them, perhaps? If so, that would be wonderful!

"S-Sure!" she replied, smiling, she then gets up from the chair and walked to the bookshelf. Mary faced the cellphone to the bookshelf so that Ene could get a better look of her books.

"... D-Do you find anything interesting?" Mary asked.

Mary shook her head and then pointed the other way. “T-That’s n-north…” she said simply. Directions and paths can really get confusing around here, Mary remembered when she, Kano, Kido, and Seto was still new around the area, she would get lost around often and wander on her own for hours, until one of the three found her and helped her get back to the hideout.

“Mm,” she mulled over the information she was given, “Okay, thanks a bunch.”  She stepped off the welcome mat and headed sort of the way the girl had pointed?  Was it the left path…? Ah god, she was going to lost again, but she shrugged and continued on her way… she didn’t want to bother the nice girl any longer.

"Y-You're welcome" she said, barely audible. Mary waited until the other was out of sight, just in case she decides to come back again for more information. After she's gone, Mary carefully closed the door to the hideout and locked it again, then she returns to her own room.

With an expression of indifference, Azami nodded lightly, denying. “No. Shion isn’t my known, I have another kind of relationship with her.” Replied calmly, avoiding to face Mary.

"... A-Are you a relative, then?" Mary asked. It's the only other possibility. Sadly, as far as she can remember back in the past, no relatives of hers ever decide to come and visit, well, it's understandable, the townspeople in this area hates Mary's family. The only relative that Mary's parents ever mentioned to her is her grandmother. But... Could it be?

Is this a dream? This kind of encounter could only happen in books, right? Unless, she somehow got trapped inside a book! But when did that ever happen? The albino girl just stood there, speechless. Not even the presence of the older man can help her speak up.

Oh my. This is certainly... Strange, scary... Yet, it's so fascinating for the young albino... She suddenly came up with another possibility, what if this person is her doppelganger? She read on some occult book that if one meets their doppelganger, it means they'll die soon. Some say that the person will die in 3 days.

“W-Well… J-Just need to head east from here, then you’ll reach a small crossroad. From there… You c-can head north…” said Mary while clutching on her small key necklace.

Shizu nodded, commiting the girl’s words to memory, then paused.  ”Um… so north is … that way?” she asked pointing in a random direction, she honestly had no idea which way it was but figured the girl would correct her so she can find her way.

“Well then, I’m glad~” he reassured the medusa, and walked in leisurely, as if he owned the place. “I’d be so devastated if our friendship disappeared~” he might have sounded sarcastic, but part of him was secretly glad for the white-haired girl’s presence. “So what have you been up to?” Kano himself had a rather uneventful day, which led to his being there in the first place.

Mary would feel sad if their friendship disappeared, after all, Kano is one of Mary's precious first friends. So she truly holds him dear.

"J-Just the usual, I've been reading... A-And occasionally t-take short walks outside...". "W-What about you, K-Kano?" she asked in return.
