He didn’t really need a speedster’s help - particularly not this speedster, who seems to enjoy creating and causing chaos wherever he went. On the other hand, he didn’t need another enemy. Yet. He could deal with Thawne later, once things were a bit more settled.

“That seems reasonable,” Tim agrees. “I’m sure we can find you a suitable safehouse. Access to our network of resources will be limited, of course. Security and all that. I’m sure you understand.”

It would have been worrying if he’d been able to access more than that so quickly. Eobard smiles.

“I have some information that could be useful to you as well. More specifically, blueprints from S.T.A.R Labs. Weapons and body armor modifications are always helpful in your line of work.”

Drake is cautious. It remains to be seen how cautious. The best thing about this plan is, of course, that Eobard will benefit no matter the outcome…

"Sounds fascinating," Tim says, trying not to sound and look bored. Weapons might be useful, but his own armor was highly advanced, basically a wearable super computer.

"If you give me your contact information I can contact you when I've found a suitable place for you to have your lab."

Preferably in another city. It's not like Eobard couldn't be anywhere in the world within a matter of seconds.

When Tim was little, his parents would always leave him with nannies, right? And never the same one, so it was a string of different nannies every time they left. Some of the nannies were mean and nasty, so even if it wasn't Tim's parents abusing him (physically), that didn't mean he wasn't smacked around. Even if a nanny was nice, it didn't matter because they'd be replaced in a few months and he'd never see them again. Even today Tim has trouble forming bonds with new people right away.

When it’s clear the Reverse Flash isn’t going to leave, he crosses his arms across his chest. “What do you want?”

How easy it is to needle this boy! Almost easier than Barry, in fact. Eobard narrowly manages to stop himself from laughing again. As it is, he settles for a satisfied smirk and takes a moment to shape his next sentence.

“What do I want? I want the use of a small amount of your resources. A safe house, as well as the use of your informant network. In return, I will offer my - as I’m sure we can agree, rather useful - services.”

Tim laughs. “Buying a warehouse and converting it into a paintball playground is hardly illegal,” he says. He wonders what exactly Eobard knows of his recent activities. Keeping the fact that he was Ra’s a secret had never been a priority. Criminals wouldn’t dare out him, but they would talk.

“But you are right. I have decided to retire from being a vigilante. There are other things I can be doing that will be more meaningful to the world.”

“I know that some of your exploits are hardly legal, and believe me, it doesn’t matter to me. What I want is to strike a bargain - one that benefits both of us.”

He chuckles.

“After all, I have had suspicions for some time that you were connected to the League of Assassins. It was interesting to have that confirmed.”
