Sherlock Hate

I honestly do not understand the hate over The Final Problem. Of course there were flaws, nothing is perfect. Did everyone in the fandom love every minute of every episode? No! That’s what makes it good TV. There are different viewpoints and theories. Just because your view of certain things didn’t go to plan doesn’t mean you should write to BBC to complain. Is this show really the most important thing on the planet? Of course not. People are mad because John and Sherlock are not a couple. They weren’t in the books either. The internet takes someones fantasy and makes it accessible for everyone. Therefore people get ideas and theories in their heads and they are able to share them. This show has the most passionate fandom which is wonderful. What’s not wonderful is people tearing people down because of it. When you boil it all down Sherlock is a TV show. An entertainment piece made to make people forget about real things to hate. Hate about war, suffering, pain…. Its not meant to control lives or send people into downward spirals. It’s entertainment for a passionate group of individuals that need to take it down. It is what it is….

Things The Sherlock Fandom Can Agree on Right Now

- John was chained to the floor?? but he got out?? with a fucking rope?? how??

- The “five years ago” played with our hearts™

- ghost mary is the best mary

- mrs. hudson is literally a fuckboy but the best kind

- TFP left us all emotionally drained whether you liked the ending or not

- molly deserved better

- mycroft and greg had a conversation so mystrade is canon™ get the fucking wedding cake ready

- the parentlock scene is the best scene

- 3 garridebs could’ve been soooooo much better

- it doesn’t matter if it was eurus john is still a little bitch for flirting

- glass reflects?? @ sherlock ur a consulting detective m8 cmon get ur shit together

- sending death threats to the writers is not cool regardless of what you thought of the finale

- mycroft being attacked by clowns and little manequinn girls was the most terrifying 7 minutes of the whole fuckin episode

- we all laughed a bit at john’s guttural noise when mary died but immediately started crying admit it

- there is no WAY IN HEAVEN OR HELL mary jumped in front of that bullet in .00000001 seconds

- the hug™ has magical healing powers

- we all need 5 mins of unsupervised conversation with Moriarty ;):):;):):)

- we need season 5

We Decide What John and Sherlock Become (Please share so others can see)

I’m really upset by all the anger I see. We need to remember that Mark Gatiss and Moffat gave us this show to begin with. They started something that brought us together. And they did us one beautiful favor with this final episode - they brought John Watson back to Baker Street. In bringing them back home and together and not specifically stating what they are, they hand them back to us. They are ours now to take care of, and as long as we all continue making content, John and Sherlock will be whatever we wish to imagine them as. So please let go of your anger, it will do you no good. And replace it with creativity and positivity. Angry that johnlock didn’t happen? GO MAKE SOME JOHNLOCK! Remember, there are exponentially more words of johnlock written than there are words written in the entirety of Sherlock’s (the show) existence. We’ve collectively outwritten Moftiss and we should be proud of that and keep on doing it. Johnlock has so much more power and so much more life because of us. And if we allow anger to turn us away, and against each other, then johnlock will be just a memory. And even in frustration and anger, we must remember what Moftiss gifted us with back at the start of s1. They gave us this show, brought us together, and inspired us to create. Please don’t left your frustrations take these gifts away from you. They are yours as long as you use them. The moment you step away is the moment that all is truly lost, my friends. So create. You can create things to fix what has happened. You can even go back and create like none of this has happened at all. Write from wherever in the series you want as if the rest of it never took place. Let’s make adventures for each other, and with each other. That’s love. We need love. So love, and please don’t hate.
