Warning: This post is totally obscure.
I’ve been doing a ton of work in Repast Simphony lately for a client project. The other day I was modeling some municipal regulatory body influence on my agents and realized that one of my data inputs doesn’t come with a block group identifier (to tie it to something like a neighborhood.)
I do however have another set of data that includes latitude,…

I was going to name my starter Bready Mercury but only managed to catch bacteria, so it was all sour and no rise.
Wait! Don’t throw it away! That sounds like a good starter. It’s supposed to smell sour, and it will rise and fall naturally when you feed it. Sometimes, it will take a week’s worth of feedings to get the yeast active, but the culture is still alive in your starter.
When mine goes a little "cheese smelling" I feed it a bit on the thicker side and it usually shapes right up over one or two feedings.
Also one optional thing you can do when feeding the starter is to pour the half-discard into a bowl and heat a cast-iron pan. I prefer ghee but butter would work as well for fat. Heat the pan until your fat shimmers and drop the "batter" as though you were making a pancake. Once the top begins to lose its shine; dress with herbs and flip with a large spatula. The herbs will cook on the underside while it browns. The pan bread is done when you don't feel like waiting any longer to eat it.
Made some progress over the weekend on a game concept I’ve been working on off-and-on for the past year. Finally ended up with something almost screenshot worthy (^_^;)
The camera controls are fun just to mess around with; being able to rotate and “peel” down the chunk of blocks is simply a joy. The A & D keys rotate the chunk, while W & S navigate you along the Z-axis, peeling back layers on the way. Zooming is handled by the mouse scroll wheel.
Behind the scenes, a lot of effort was put into the greedy meshing of the cubes and caching results for performance. Even when peeling layers, Unity stays above 150 FPS and generally hovers around 200 FPS (when not recording video, of course).
Stay tuned for more screenshots!
Still got it!

Over a year ago I had an… incident… with my Dropbox. All of my folders were still present, including nested directories, but in several of those locations all of the files had been surreptitiously deleted. Once I realized this I went straight to the web tool and attempted recovery of the files. I have no idea when they were removed but it turns out that the plan I was paying for originally…
