Hello, Tumblr. I've never posted here, only lurked. But this is one of the most important things in the world to me, and I honestly need to ask you for help. Please reblog if you can.
This will be a long post. It will be summarized with a TLDR at the end, including ways that you can help.
With over 9,200 pages, we are the biggest collection of gender identities on the Internet, especially the biggest source that is readily available. We are a community that has existed since 2009, and has taken off in terms of growth in the last few years.
Today, Fandom decided to close the Gender Wiki. We were given absolutely no warning, and they've only given us a two-week deadline to move the entire wiki to a new host, which we are utterly unprepared to do. The download would also not include any of the 17,000+ images on the Gender Wiki, many of which do not exist anywhere else on the Internet.

Fandom staff says that they won't continue to host our wiki because it "spreads harmful misinformation". They believe we have gone too far in "positioning everything as a gender identity", referring to xenogenders. They mention pages with xenogenders referring to suicide/self-harm and violence --- which we, the staff members, were /already/ in the process of deleting before this notice was given to us. They decided that the best solution was not to ask us to delete those pages, or even delete the pages themselves, but instead to remove our entire database.
There are many other wikis on Fandom with much worse references to violence than the Gender Wiki, which Fandom appears to have no problem with whatsoever.
I cannot express enough that this is erasure, and it will absolutely negatively affect the LGBTQ+ community to not have this treasure trove of information readily available.
I am an admin on the Gender Wiki, and I can assure you that our entire staff team is already trying to appeal to Fandom staff. I'll add any updates if they decide to respond to us, but they have no yet given staff any more information than the above
PLEASE help in any way you can. Reblog, spread awareness, or sign this petition if you have a Fandom account, OR sign this petition instead if you don't --- please DON'T sign both, as this causes counting problems & can make the point seem less legitimate. Archive any Gender Wiki pages, especially ones that don't have pages elsewhere, with the Wayback Machine or alternatively archive.is, or even write posts about them here or on other sites. Archives will be organized on this spreadsheet; please include the archiving site you used so they can be found later. Please help us save this information. It can't possibly be done this quickly without help.
TLDR: Fandom staff decided that, in two weeks, they will close the Gender Wiki, the biggest gender resource on the Internet. They gave us no warning. It will be impossible to save all of the information on the wiki. Please reblog or sign this petition if you have a Fandom account, OR this one if you don't (please don't sign both, it'll cause problems). Help save the data by archiving pages here or here (organized on this spreadsheet). Help spread awareness. Post about this with #save the gender wiki

(The one I relate most to. He's such a fun and relatable character for me. I also luv all forms of art, would go above and beyond to help people especially my family, very sensitive and empathetic. I just want people to get along😭, I would get super energetic when I'm with people I'm comfortable with. Back then my friends and parents used to ask me for advice on things and would often vent to me. I also like to try and be optimistic in any situation, see the brighter side of things. I would often view myself as someone with a short fuse—Very quick to irritate, Often I keep it to myself but there are times where I mumble a few passive aggressive responses, I would've put Donnie here but I'm not NEARLY as smart as him and my personality is quite far from his, I ADORE animals, my voice can get REALLY loud and my family sometimes tells me my body always seems so heavy whenever I move. I can say I have a big appetite. An overthinker. And lastly, I don't really view myself as Leo but I do relate to him on some things enough for me to put him here, similar to Raph. Soooo this is because people (especially my dad, eugh...) tell me that I'm a natural born leader. I don't really believe him, preferring to be more of a follower because I'm scared of the responsibility, buttttt....... Uh... yeah... I relate to his insecurities and anxiety (I'm not sure if I actually have anxiety and I absolutely don't want to self diagnose but I do experience some of the symptoms. And I overthink a lot. I guess...?), last but not the least! The low self-esteem and belief that I am absolutely NOTHING without my friends and family. Woah... who said that???

of course! Warning though you said info dump and that’s what’s gonna happen aka SUPER LONG
so in my au this is after Ava is taken to the daemos with the other 5 with zex, but after he disappears he comes back to lady bish explaining what happened.After explaining everything, Lady bish wants him to hide the book of spells she used to take him to the other realm somewhere so that she won’t get caught and the royal family won’t think she did it at least until Asch takes his place on the throne. This results in zex running away from the kingdom and searching for a place to hide the book. Though things go wrong on his mission to keep the book hidden as he is discovered by a monster and decides to cast a spell from the book to teleport him away, accidentally teleporting him to earth and falling from the sky into an alleyway incredibly injured.
Jake finds Zex in the alleyway and tries to call for help only for Zex to try and kill him or atleast knock him out. Unfortunately though Jake got scared and by mistake tazed him causing him to pass out from the unfamiliar jolt, and for Jake to feel curious about Zex so he takes him into his home and starts caring for him, learning about Daemos, Zex, and also spells which he is keeping the book away from zex.
But yeah I really like the au I made and think it’s a really cool idea for this rare pair and I even have some headcanons.
Character backstories:
not a lot is known about these characters so I decided to improvise some backstories
Jake:
Jake Allison is Jake’s full name and he comes from a very country catholic background before his dad and mom got divorced when he was 14 and he spent weekends in the city with his dad, Micheal Allison, who was a business man who taught him about business and economics and weekdays with his mom Leah Allison, who runs a small bakery on the outskirts of the city and taught him cooking. The divorce really affected Jake and now he’s really anxious about trust and conflict especially from when he was in highschool and can tend to be a little bit of a pushover and was but he still tries his best.
Zex:
I actually have really interesting lore for spirits that I made so I hope this is interesting
Spirits are born without mothers or fathers, they simply are made from magic and abyssal remnants that form together into a spirit.
Zex’s life was filled with him being a mercenary basically and the people hiring him being like his caretaker, master, or boss, doing whatever anyone could pay him to do which is how he met lady bish, he was given a job by someone to kill her and in the end, she captured him and they slowly became friends. Zex with no parents has a hard time processing love and affection so Jake’s attempts at flirting(which were terrible) have all been taken literal making it worse.
Headcanons:
-Zex sometimes sits down or bends a bit just so when Jake is speaking to him he won’t feel inferior(not used to one of his caretakers being so small)
-Jake teaches Zex how to cook and clean just so he can atleast have zex do something while he’s off doing landlord chores
-Zex lost his eye to a sword fight when he tried to assassinate them
-Zex’s tail and ears are like a leopard tail and ears
-Jake always would get scared when Zex’s pupils would widened thinking he was scared or in pain when really zex does it when he enjoys something
-Zex purrs like a normal cat and didn’t know he could do it tell Jake held his hand and hugged him and he pushed him away thinking something was wrong with himself and panicking. Jake had to explain to him what purring was and he got embarrassed
-Zex is stuck on earth unless someone finds him and brings him back. He has tried the earth spell before, he’s to low on magic
-Zex lays with Jake in bed sometimes and Jake notices it’s the only time he actually sleeps fully
-Zex doesn’t know why but he likes to do certain things to Jake and Jake knows more about cats than Jake does so it’s funny when Zex follows Jake around and headbutts him not knowing why while Jake knows Zex is just comfortable
