mornings with your caregiver. feeling the mixed warmth of them and your blankets when you wake up, the sun shining on the two of you and the sounds of your caregiver stirring. their eyes finally opening and focusing on you, their little baby, and a tired smile grows as they scoot closer and closer.
mumbling a "good morning" and pressing a kiss to your forehead. they ask if you slept well, had any dreams of magical lands or wild animals or maybe a cartoon you watched the night before. the next question makes you cling to them, whining for more minutes staying like this.
but as your caregiver, they ease you into the routine of getting ready; brushing and styling your hair, picking out your clothes and letting you pick out theirs. watching with love in their eyes when you put together one that matches yours. and finally its breakfast time: a sippy cup next to a mug, a divided plate next to a full one, fork and spoon with your favorite character on them next to plain silver ones.
hearing "eat up kiddo, i want you getting big and strong" like every morning. being little in every way and being loved by them.
i know this task may seem tedious at times but i find that if i’m in a dirty, cluttered area (cluttered with things other than agere stuff hehe), then i focus on the mess around me the whole time
2.) Get in clothes that make you feel small
i only have one onesie to wear when i want to regress, so when it’s dirty i’ll put on some clothes that are way too big for me instead. baggy shirts that hang off you and pants that flop when you walk :0 bonus points if you have cute slippers/socks
3.) Put on a kids’ show or comfort show
even if i don’t plan on watching it, i’ll always put on my favorite show as background noise. something that i know will make me small and/or remind me of my childhood. try to think of shows you watched as a child or would watch as a child
4.) Keep a stuffie close
i always try to keep my favorite stuffie within arm’s length for quick cuddling. as a child i was big on stuffed animals and i still am! having something soft and plush to pet and squeeze as much as i like makes things much lighter. if you don’t have a stuffie, maybe try a comfort item
5.) Use a paci or teether
i find that using an adult pacifier when i want to regress will help push me into the headspace faster. i have a teeth grinding problem so chewing on something also helps with that. i try not to use a paci while i sleep though because it hurts the roof of my mouth. if you don’t have a paci or teether, maybe look into chewelry
6.) Occupy your brain
my brain tends to obsess over if i’m regressed or not and i’ll always ask myself “do i actually feel small?” but by doing simple things like coloring or doodling or building legos (or even playing an easy game like minecraft or roblox), i can focus on being present in the moment
