The name's Grace Geiger, you can just call me Tinman or Grace. I'm in my mid-20s, and just trying to get by and keep my act together.

I don't have any other socials right now.

I am trying to learn how to draw. This blog is mostly going to be dedicated to that, which is going to involve whatever fandoms I like that are helping me in that endeavor. (Right now it's Transformers, horror movies and a lot of really weird old sci-fi).

I'm willing to do art requests because I need the practice. Ask box is open.

i have 8 open job applications, started outlining a few more books to write and self hang on i think i just heard a roach under my bathroom sink

My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.

Shoutout to people in the notes also mentioning people learning the language, I should've mentioned that really, given that I've been stuck reading German picture books myself while learning German.

hey sorry that i have not been participating in art fight or drawing or making things, if you want the whole sad story it's under the cut here

basically warning for family death

my father was very sick with cancer and i have been one of his main caretakers on top of all of my work

he was comatose on his last day and he passed away in front of me at 1:20AM

now im 27 and im trying to figure out how to step up and help my mom and trying to not feel guilty for feeling relief that he is no longer in pain

i'm doing OK all things considered

but im hoping to get back to art fight and get back to drawing and writing and knitting and making costumes but right now i have to take care of my mom, im hoping to make art fight attacks next week and get back to things
