There are quite different theories bout it... i've guessed with a friend it may have something to do with the amyr, or maybe the Lockless thingy going on -maybe both... Guess our beloved followers have more theories about it? ;D

Hi so i have been waiting for the third book and i read that he already finished it, so could you help me out with some information?

Pat says he's finished WRITING it, but publishing a book requires lots and lots of revising and editing an checking. Never a book comes out straight from the writers' computer! However, Pat is such a perfectionist... That his editing process is longer maybe than usual. (Although I prefer it this way, better book will come :3)

HEY! a Spanish speaker! I actually live in Mexico, however have only read the series in English. I have a friend who read it in spanish and mentioned the translation was really good. Would you recomend I re-read in Spanish?

Well, I've read Gemma Rovira's translation and I HIGHLY recommend it! Obviously, the original version is always better, but this translation is sublime!

I'm sorry for not posting that much, and taking so much time on the answers. I'm having a rough time, and I'm not that motivated. I keep an eye on the KKC and Pat Rothfuss news, but I don't have much time to post them here. I want to apologise to the ones of you that have sent questions and I have taken forever to answer, and to those who expected more news from the series. I'll try to keep this updated hereby, but if I can't, please, be kind. Btw, I got the messaging, and I'll try to answer that too! Thank you! :)

What do you think about the correlation between the cthaeh speaking in 10 word phrases and the "10 words to break a strong mans will"? I read something interesting online but I was wondering your take on it :)

I haven't got anything on that, I honestly didn't even realise the Cthaeh speaks like that, maybe because I've read a transaltion (I'm spanish), but now you mention it, it seems quite obvious. I've noticed, though, that while speaking, the Cthaeh says someting in cursive that sounds like a name to me... Or maybe it's something on the translation D:

Theories: The King to be Killed

The king he kills is going to have to be the king of Vint. Ambrose is too far down the line to make the jump all the way to king that fast. And remember when Sim is telling Fela the eld Vintic poetry and he keeps pausing. He calls the pause a caesura and says it is a break in an eld Vintic line. When Kvothe gets the sword from the Adem it is named Saicere. He renames it Caesura. A break in an eld Vintic line. Pat it too smart to have accidentally done this. He is telling us that that sword is going to break an eld Vintic line. So it has to be the actual king of Vint. It doesn’t make sense any other way. And Pat doesn’t waste words or make mistakes like that.

Being from argentina nobody, NOBODY knows about the book which is MY FAVORITE!!! Im glad I found other people who think so too. Besides having so many years between books makes me want to both obsess about it and forget it till the last one comes

I feel you! I’m spanish, and here not so many people knows the book, so I can’t obsess about it neither. So if you feel like it, you can count on me (and even in spanish ;D)!

Well yes I have read them both in both languages… Now my question… Was it, in your opinion, a good translation? Because I find them amazingly done, but then again maybe I missed something

me encantaron las dos versiones, mi miedo era que al cambiar de idioma se cambie la “voz” pero estaba muy bien hecho asique se mantuvo!

En españa, la traductora (gemma rovira) ha hecho un trabajo genial, pero hay bastantes juegos de palabras que se han perdido. El libro original es muy rico y complejo, y traducir eso es MUY difícil (y lo digo por experiencia), así que personalmente estoy muy contenta con la traducción, es un magnifico trabajo :)
