Hey so hear me out:

What if Inks paints weren’t…paints? Like they have been synthesized into paint for convenience and battle purposes, but if Ink were to like, idk drink watercolors, it would do nothing but just be lwk nasty.

What if Ink had to get their paints from souls?

Stay with me now.

We know Error destroys AUs and most often keeps the souls of Frisk(s) and or Sans(es), or whatever their equivalent might be. SO, what if Ink allowed it and never stopped him, on the condition that they could keep some souls as well to fuel THEMSELVES?

What if Dream KNOWS this??? And obviously she’d HATE it cuz of her issues and savior complex (cuz let’s be fr that’s what it is) and is mildly conflicted about it. On one hand, Dream kinda needs Ink, and this is what Ink has to do to survive, but is it worth the amount of lives lost? (Yes, but she isn’t sure cuz, like I said, savior complex.) What if Nightmare ALSO knows this and has tried to coax Ink into working with them instead, claiming to be able to get them a near infinite supply of “paints”??
