I feel like I am very upset with the world. I am putting up walls and boundaries but it's working against me because now I have no one in my corner. I just want to curl in a ball and stay in bed for days. I just don't know how to deal with all this hurt. And then it makes me feel like I am playing the victim and like I am the bad guy. I am always feeling like a villain in my own life and in my own home.

I also don't know whether I am asking for too much. I don't feel like I am asking for too much, but then the fact that other people fail to follow through really means I need to lower my expectations. Like childcare for one - I am simply asking for my parents and family to follow through on when they said they would take the children instead of flopping, or changing plans, or leaving me short-handed. I am asking for my siblings not to project their own issues onto me. I am asking for my husband to make an effort in bed, and in communicating with me, without me having to beg and ask him for it. I feel embarrassed and ashamed that I even have to ask.

I don't know what coping strategies I used before... I guess I have to go back to the gym but honestly, I don't even have the time or the will or the want to go back. I don't recognize myself at all.

I am so tired of having to be the strong and put together and independent woman. My soul is so heavy and tired. I am tired of being my own worst critic, and subconsciously inviting others to treat me that way. To minimize me, to give me less than I deserve, to neglect and emotionally distance themselves or avoid me and the problems that I call into the light. I feel so lonely sometimes. All this work that my therapist is having me to do is healing for me, absolutely, but sometimes I can't help but feel so much sadness, and so much pity for myself. It is not a good place to sit in. It is not a good energy to dwell in and allow these emotions to fester. But somehow I just wish that someone spoke up for me, that someone saw me for the skills and the beauty that I am, and that that would be enough. But even with love - with my husband - love was never unconditional. With friends, with family... I had to be a certain way to be accepted. And I am honestly tired of catering to everyone else.
