March 11, disaster and puffer

We had Great East Japan earthquake in 2011, so today information about the earthquake floods and remind me of the experience of that day.

At that time I was in Tokyo. As Tokyo was also shaken severely, water spilled out from tank and lid was fallen into the tank. My puffer was fortunately safe by hiding herself in shelter. I wiped water and changed the wet power strip, when i did that many big aftershocks occured.

Because of big and frequent aftershocks, power cut, incident of power plant, water pollution of radioactive contamination, shortage of commodity and so on, people in Tokyo felt the necessity of evacuation at that time. Many and many a time I made up my mind to give up my puffer. My friends which own puffers in Tohoku district lost almost all of their puffers from coldness caused by power cut or evacuation. Life of pets, especially fish is secondary importance in disaster. I thought that we never return the previous life. Fukushima incident and activation of the seismic activity of Japan drived me to despair. But my puffer survived. She cheer me up in the terrible and hopeless situation by gazing at me and dancing for food. When there were severe news and sad stories in society and my life, only funny and delightful time was the time with puffer.

As time goes by, the frequency of aftershocks decreaced and we returned previous life in Tokyo even though there are much of problems. Without my puffer I couldn't have gone through those hopeless and terrible days. I thank my puffer mame-chan in heaven, and never forget the days with this cute and cheerful friend.
